I wasn't a happy camper

The internet is flooded with overlapping Sharpie markers, see instructions. Okay, the tip gets stuck on the ruler and the marker spreads - not on the wall, so it could be worse. But this one bled on an old measure my father had embellished with stain and varnish. At least I have a lifetime supply of markers.

  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Problem

Makes drawing letters easy!

I bought these for an outside sign project for a hospital. They were great for creating a clean, straight outline for my letters before painting over them. They have to be shaken occasionally to get the paint flowing but they were easy to use and I was able to draw 6 letter boards with just 2 markers.

  • Finished
Cons
  • High Price

Sharpie is great, just have one wish.

I use almost every painting product on the market and highly recommend them. My only wish/request is to give each marker a color or number to make it easier for me to replenish my supplies. I usually buy sets (of which there are many, as we all know: cosmic, neon, mystic gems, etc.), so the cap colors can be very similar. But I love markers for performance, long-lasting, rich colors. Simply a great product.

  • Regular price
Cons
  • No paint required

DO NOT use a mug for a card sharpener!

I was planning to use them for a homemade mug. I researched markers, baking time, and how to make sure the ink stays on the mug. I tried about 10 different drying, baking and washing methods. Nothing worked and every time the ink washed off or severely flaked off on the first wash. I was so disappointed as I was doing Christmas gifts for family and friends and had to find something else. The pens write beautifully, they don't have a very fine point, but they are thinner than the average marker.

These are not the pens you are looking for

I needed to change the color of a very small strip of metal. I searched for hours and settled on this black pen. I had to fiddle with the plunger for about ten minutes before the paint started to flow. it's not ok I know it's subjective, but in the spirit of common sense I would only call it a medium sized dot. The paint lay down thick, lumpy and shiny. The project would have been ruined anyway, but then the plunger just fell out of the pen and ruined my project, clothes, desk, etc. I didn't…

Cons
  • Not sure

We've been using markers in the office for decades and have found them to work better and last longer than other permanent markers. We saw some quality control issues at the "thin spot", but for the most part they worked well internally. But these "thin" markers were recommended for garden/plant labels and we found them to be inferior. They write badly and unevenly, the fad is not small - the letters are wide and striped, they dry longer than other brands, they smear and spread easily. We used…

Versatile and very useful

The main reason I bought them was to use them to write on the galvanized (galvanized) plant markers in my flower beds and gardens. They work very well for that. The ink holds up very well, and because they have fine dots, they produce legible text that isn't too thick or smudged. I've also used them on a flea market sign and on a tree; and intends to use them on glass as well (an application suggested by Sharpies). Since it's actually paint I don't see why it can't be used to touch up black…
