He does 1 thing and that is sucking. And that's exactly what he does.

Very useful when grinding on a lathe. Assembly took about 20 minutes, which was due to the fact that the legs required some finesse to line up the screw holes. I also installed my own lock washers. I see no reason to pay 3x or others out there. I'm thinking of ordering another one for my disc sander.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Almost never

Incorrectly assembled and bent

Legs drilled incorrectly, 4" pipe flat on one side - not round. Although some nuts and other hardware are missing, as well as some bent parts, I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars after I used it for the project it was intended for because it worked well.I bought it to make a smoke collector for painting large items that wouldn't fit in my airbrush booth and I think it did quite well works fine.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Minor issues

Atypical Shop Fox Quality

I have seen other reviewers give this product negative reviews but I ignored them as I have other Shop Fox tools and find them to be of excellent quality and innovative design. Unfortunately, they were absolutely right about this product. Build quality is very poor as the parts are not lined up for assembly and the fit of the screws in the pre-drilled holes was terrible. I am about to return.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Safety

Very poorly made and expensive product.

I had to use the clip on the underside of the stand legs to align the studs. Even then, the supplied washers did not fit. I should have left her. The bracket that holds the dust collector to the stand is so thin it only has one thread. It absolutely cannot support the weight of the dust collector attachment. I had to use a shoulder screw and wing nut. to make it work. If it wasn't for the time constraint I would have returned this item. We strongly advise against purchasing this stand.

  • Few competitors

Very poorly made, almost impossible to assemble

It was very poorly made. Many threaded holes were poorly cut and had significant burrs. When trying to align the punched holes in the legs, they didn't line up with the threaded holes in the chassis. I tried to rape her, tearing either holes or bolts. The hopper body is very loosely attached to the main pipe, and because the vacuum system does not provide good suction into the hopper. Finally, the weight of the tube and air funnel is too great for a single bolt to hold in place, so it movesโ€ฆ

  • Sturdy construction

Be careful when reassembling Leg hole issue, 2-ply metal misaligned

During installation I found the rod covered in another layer or metal, presumably for extra grip, but the screws go through as do the legs both need to go the outer tube and the inner layer spot welded in place. The problem is that the holes in the two layers didn't line up and this caused a lot of headaches when merging them. I ended up using 5mm screws instead of the ones provided. Also, the head assembly is heavier than the adjustment slot/bolt can hold when you add the weight of a 4" hoseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Would buy it again among the power tools and hand tools

I was lucky I had absolutely no trouble putting this dust fox thingy together. It was well packaged, well packaged, every detail was well packed, all hardware was included and everything went smoothly. It's "dirty and dirty" done, no burrs but accurate enough. It came with the usual build sharpening and will serve its purpose for many years to come. The tip of the magnetic screwdriver helped with assembly, not only could I tighten the screws with my fingers, it took a bit of effort to align and

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Less expensive than others and works well with the right adapters

I learned in a relatively short amount of time that 4" dust tubes, hoses, adapters and couplers vary by manufacturer. "Dust Right" hoses and pairs are not compatible with PowerTec and others. All are 1/8" to 1/16" in diameter; incredibly disappointing. I, like others, have started using adapters on my adapters to make the hoses work with power tool fittings and couplers. It's no different. I'm sure if I'd spent the extra $50 on a more expensive version I'd have the same dilemma. While I hadโ€ฆ
