They sent a used lens with no cap and aperture.

I am not satisfied with this vendor. The lens I received appears to be used. The aperture and lens cap were missing. There was a cheap UV filter with fingerprints on the lens and the packaging smelled like an old ashtray. Luckily the lens works, although it's a lot louder than the previous one I had. There also seems to be an issue with focus locking. This is my second time buying this lens. My first was madness, unfortunately it fell to the ground from quite a height and broke. So I know what…

Pros

It's impossible to dream of a better lens for everyday work.

I've been using this lens for a while now and am very happy with its versatility. Paired with my Sony Alpha, this is a handy device to take on trails or anywhere. It's perfect for landscapes, macro photography and I've gotten some pretty good quick shots of wildlife with the zoom. It literally replaced 3 lenses I carried with me. I'm an amateur photographer, not a pro, and I'm sure a pro might disagree that I use this lens in all of these situations, but for my purposes it's great. . A lot of…

Excellent lens for outdoor use, suitable for indoor use

Lens 75 –300 mm with this one lens. After using it for about a month I found it great for outdoor shooting but only ok indoors. I used this lens to photograph fireworks on the 4th of July and the results were amazing. I was able to take some general shots of the entire display and then zoom in and get incredible close-ups. I then took it to the Chicago Botanic Gardens and tried out all sorts of shots, from wide angle shots of entire displays, to close-ups of distant displays, to some cool macro

  • 27-375mm equivalent focal length for cameras with APS-C sensor, 28.8-400mm equivalent focal length for Canon cameras with APS-C sensor

best hyperzoom for Sony/Minolta (at the time of writing)

love this lens on my Sony A700. I use it more than any other lens. The bokeh is not bad, the sharpness is excellent, the color saturation is reminiscent of Minolta's "secret handshake". The distortion is quite easy to correct in post-processing, very stable. PRO: - 27-375mm FF equivalent range, awesome. - Sharp for hyperzoom, especially between 50 and 150mm - Solid feel including zoom lock. - Fast autofocus, HSM is great. Less distortion than many other hyperzoom designs. The magnification of…

Wonderful. Just unbelievable.

As a professional photographer who has just retired, I am used to owning and using excellent lenses. Nikon, Canon, Pentax, etc. The thought that one day I would rave about Sigma was incredible. But on the other hand, what this lens does still strikes me as incredible - or almost unbelievable. I bought a Sigma 18-250 to replace Canon's wide-angle telephoto zoom, whose autofocus had become "questionable". Reviews here and elsewhere encouraged me to take the risk, but my first photo shoot…

This lens reignited my love of photography!

The first thing I liked was that it arrived a week before the expected date. Good start. It was packaged very well and while I knew what I would find in the box I was very pleasantly impressed with the lens' looks and weight. Since it wasn't heavy, it just seemed solid. By putting it in front of the camera, I found a new balance that I suspect was what the creators originally had in mind. Although I've had a medium zoom lens before, I really appreciated the whole wide-angle world at the 18mm…

Great lens purchase for my Pentax K-5 ii

Fantastic lens purchase for my Pentax K-5 ii. Simply put, a travel lens that accurately captures detail and more. A little background. I don't use my imagination, professional photographer. Not even close. I'm just a hobbyist who likes to take pictures to share with others and then look at them for myself. The Pentax K-5 ii has proven its worth on cross-country travel and beyond, but always needed a great lens that I could leave on camera. I always imagined that with my Nikon D90, D200, it just
