Used for home brewing. Silicone can withstand insanely high temperatures, and a reusable metal straw is inserted at one end that works like a siphon wand, and the silicone ball that comes with the earwax kit (unused, of course) can be used to start the siphon. Kit that can be boiled sterile instead of using other sterilization chemicals. More fun without iodide. It's cheaper than vinyl, has longer tubing, and is much easier to clean and sterilize. Excellent material!

there is no pressure friction. About a dozen times, once a week, I found the hose slipping off the plastic nozzle on the aquarium air pump. It's under high pressure, but enough to make it slip. Next time I'll have to order a 1/8" or 1/16" smaller tube so it has more grip. If you check it once a day, it's probably fine. but if you go on vacation for a week the thing can slip on day 2 leaving your fish or whatever 5 days with no O2 circulation :(otherwise I like it.

Based on some comments I measured the pipe and it was the claimed 10 feet, the pipe has an odd dry feeling when touched like it has Dirt or something I can't explain properly, but when you drag it across the surface it picks up dirt very easily, not a smooth surface, so you may need to clean it thoroughly if you plan to use it with drinking liquids, on the in photos it looks like transparent silicone but on "man" it actually looks matte and the bending radius is not that good, it creases very…
