Our new Samsung dryer is equipped with a large closed lint collector. I'm hesitant to open it all the way because I think it will tear over time. I got this bottle brush to clean the trap instead of using my fingers. That works great! It captures the entire stack in one motion. If I had known how well it would work for this purpose I would have bought it a year ago. Even if your trap is wide open, it's still a lot easier and faster than using your fingers.

Although strong enough, the size was much smaller than expected. Yes I have an AA battery next to it and it is visible in the usual short glass. Unlike large-headed brushes, you don't have the effect of the brush applying more than one spot on one side at a time, and there's no cross-resistance to aid in cleaning. Wow! Tried the silicone bottle brush for the first time and it's great. Cleans better than a regular brush! I give it 5 stars because it's very easy to use and clean. It's not as big as I thought it would be, which is actually a good thing because it fits smaller bottle holes better. The downside I see with this is that it doesn't lather and move very well. Soapy water definitely doesn't stick to this silicone material, as do the sponge alternatives I'm used to, and the protrusions don't clean as much surface area at once. UPDATE: I wasn't very impressed with this bottle brush. My 25 ounce stainless steel bottles are still a little low on the bottom. BUT. It works well on surfaces I don't want to damage. I use it in my cast iron and non-stick pans. Cast iron, in particular, sometimes needs to be rubbed down without removing too much. This brush works great and is dishwasher safe. I use silicone dish scrapers and love them although sometimes they aren't strong enough to remove food stuck to dishes and you probably need more soap to get more soap out of the suds .
