Works as expected, good for kitchen and dining room

Like most reviewers, I cut the pan in half to ensure even baking. The Caneles did well. I think if I do them again I'll wear them for a shorter period of time.

Could be better for kitchen and dining room

Bought it for the price and being silicone it would be easy to clean and it really is. however, the cannula takes twice as long as if I were using individual metal cans, which is insane. Of course I don't have a convection oven, but twice as long is a bit much. and the middle row comes out a little undercooked, which isn't a bad thing, but it's not perfect either.

Great shapes! - Candy Molds

I have copper French Canelé molds and quite frankly I prefer them. In copper they are difficult to remove. These, they just pop out. The only thing is, if you coat them with a mixture of oil and beeswax and then flip them over to drain the excess, it all just falls out. DO NOT WORRY. Simply spray on cooking spray and start your recipe. Mine turned out better than before, rich mahogany in color and BEAUTIFUL!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

. from the 30x canele pan i received was excellent. I used a 50/50 mix.

The quality of the 30 well Canele pan I received was excellent. I smoothed it out with a 50/50 mixture of oil and melted beeswax. The canele rose easily after baking and the bite-sized pieces were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The only problem I had was that the inner rows didn't bake at the same speed as the outer rows and the results were inconsistent. I'll probably split the pan in two to even out the baking speed. Now I want 2 medium sized pans but they don't ship that…

This is a great product. Kannele caught my eye immediately

This is a great product. Kannele immediately jumped out. I actually had to cook them longer and darker than other baking recipes. I don't know if it's the pan or the quality of the cannelle that takes so long to bake to caramelize. I suggest a recipe from Cooks.com that is simple and delicious. There are many recipes that call for melting beeswax, but who has the time? I think I buttered this pan and sprinkled it with sugar. The family is very impressed. I copied this from a delicious treat we…

Make canele cheaper than metal molds!

I've been experimenting with French pastries and desserts and have come across several canelé recipes. After doing some research and finding out that traditional metal/tin molds were EXTREMELY expensive, I really wasn't ready to invest that much in the baked goods I was experimenting with. So I'm glad I found these silicones. to Raven! For a fraction of the cost of the metal molds I found this to be a great deal. I've never had silicone bakeware before so I re-learned how to use and care for…

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose

Allayed my doubts about baking and cleaning the Silicone Baking Pan

It is like a gift when you receive a product that you have ordered and it is well received. I had my doubts but I bought it anyway. I don't like the idea of baked plastic, I don't even have silpat. I have previously bought a Du Buyer which costs 3 times as much and had to send it back thinking it wasn't worth it. I sent Santa my Christmas wish to Matfer Bourgeat Coppers, but I doubt Santa's workshop has a culinary department. I baked the once-difficult Cannele Bourdelais in it twice, following…

Almost as good as DeBuyer

I love Cannelle, the perfect cream inside with a crunchy outside so I've strived to make it perfect. In an attempt to limit the amount of cookware in my apartment, I've experimented with different cupcake pans, and the results are eminently edible, but not perfect: scoring is necessary to get the extra surface area of the crust. Copper molds are insanely expensive, so I bought one each from Freshware, World Cuisine (aka Prochef), and a DeBuyer Elastomoule mold to see which ones get the most out
