Ideal for hunting; Not bad for golf!

As advertised. I use it for hunting and golf! He catches the pin at 150-160 yards but can always target the green structure (bunker, in front of the green, parallel tree) to get reasonably good distance vision. I've used it with a $400 laser model made specifically for golf and it's always been just as accurate.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Great so far. in optics

I use it to determine archery ranges and it has proven to be very accurate. I've used it from 6.5 yards to 40 yards, hitting the target with my arrows depending on how far it took me. I can't say more about the accuracy, but that's enough for me. The battery cover is easily accessible. It turns off automatically after use to save power. When you press the range button for the first time, it turns on, then you have to press it again to get the distance.

Works well, it would be better if I had to buy it again.

Click directly on the button to increase the distance. I use it for bow hunting. I don't think it would be that easy to use over 100 meters. The optics are quite clear, but a higher magnification would be better. I like the tilt feature. I found my pace was about right over the distances. The LCD works great in daylight. Sunrise or sunset, it's really hard to read. Mine came with a battery but no case. And that's okay because I don't like Velcro on my hunting gear. I just use an old sock and it

Doesn't read most distances even at bowhunting distances

I bought this for bowhunting but was very disappointed. IF you have a tree with light bark AND it's within 40-50 yards you should get a reading, but in most cases it won't show up in southern deer forests. Forget shooting range or rifle range situations. It's useless! When I hunted with a friend on crate stands that had shots out to 300 yards, nothing legible except what I got from a white bucket that fell about 140 yards but couldn't aim for anything else. Logs, clumps of grass, stumps…

Cheap hard plastic case won't crash

I returned this product because of the very thin and cheap plastic case. It also failed to register objects more than 200 meters away. I was so disappointed after reading so many reviews. I think I expected a better product from this company but this is clearly extortion money to buy the company name. There are only two pieces of rubber on this product. Button to get range and eyepiece. The "rubber" grip on top is made of hard plastic and looks like a rubber grip. It's not like this. I returned

Precise and simple entry-level device.

I only used it one day. I can't confirm how well it stands up to use. But I can tell you that it works as advertised. I was surprised at the accuracy. I tested it on a target at a known distance of 100 yards and it was accurate. It's a budget device, so don't expect any frills. What will it do. Measure accurately in yards and meters. The different types of targets and the allowable distances for those types of targets are indicated on the packaging and in a very brief guide. It works in low…

Deducting one star for bad battery compartment

Nice light weight little device although it feels a little flimsy compared to others. I don't think it will break easily though. As far as I can tell, this is accurate (based on known targets near my house) but I didn't record any of them to see if they were within 5 meters or 2 meters. Neither really bothers me as I only use it for target shooting. It can quickly and easily hit targets from the size of my target holder to at least 100 yards, which is why I bought it. I couldn't vary anymore…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Excellent range finder for bowhunting (Do not use.

Excellent range finder for bowhunting (Do not use for long range rifle hunting or golf. Read on to see why)! The optics are clear and it accurately measures distance all in one open field (where I originally tested) and from my climber (before I bought it my footage was marked with a different colored tape. This range finder confirmed my measurements and proved that this range finder was accurate) or bushes (even the expensive ones not), so you need to explore open terrain. This range finder…

An excellent range finder at an even better price.

I've been looking for a new range finder for bow hunting for a long time. I've looked at many different brands in stores and played with some that my friends own, all in the $200+ price range. I didn't want to skimp because I wanted something that would work, work well, and last a long time. After picking up a $230 model at a sporting goods store, I took the Revain out to take a closer look. I found this for almost exactly $100 and after reading the reviews thought I'd give it a try and save…
