They work as expected

I used this to install a VHF antenna on the roof. I was concerned this wouldn't work because my roof overhang is 11.5" and the description of this item doesn't say where 12" is measured (to the edge of the post or to the center of the post). The bracket turned out to be a little over 12 inches from the edge of the column, so I removed the roof overhang by about 1/2 inch. I recommend the seller to include a simple outline drawing with the product description.

Pros
  • Audio and video accessories
Cons
  • Negative is present

Very durable! for Satellite TVs

These brackets are made of very strong metal and should hold up! We wanted to bend them "a little" and couldn't! Our only complaint is that some of the screw holes weren't lined up properly when they were made, so it took a bit of trickery to line them up - add that to the fact that we couldn't bend them at all and you're a bit disappointed ! All in all we've had them installed for a few months now and they've survived a few windy days with no ill effects! Fast delivery, strong/strong mounts.

  • Okay for the most part, but...

Sorry, but that could be done better.

Not sure yet if I really want to install this 12" third leg mast. Washers or lock washers were not included. A bolt hole was not punched. not in the same plane as the other two. To fix this one would have to either relocate all the other legs of the strut, drill a new hole for the third leg to attach to the strut, or live with that third leg's wobbly mounting bracket. None of this gives me confidence that this Skywalker wall mount will do its simple job.

Look at the picture.

Strong brackets. They go well together. All components were in the box including 5 2" wall mounting screws. All holes match well. Fit this along with any loose screws so it can be moved so the holes line up. Check out the image they used at Revain to identify your purchase and you should be able to figure out how to put five pieces of metal together to make it work. The illustration shows the undercarriage support bracket facing down. It shows which screw to connect the support leg to. It shows

Poor fit and makes installation difficult

You will need a drill, vise or vise to bend the mounting leg "tabs" that abut the wall, a 10mm socket wrench, a 11 mm open-end wrench, or a deep socket. The wall screws are rubbish and other materials are good (zinc plated mild steel) but the mounting tabs have the wrong bend angle and the U-bolts don't match the hole spacing. The gap is too great and the mounting tabs need to be bent more to lay flat against the wall. All this can be corrected with a slight bend and more laborious (laborious)…

  • Out of fashion

Pros
  • Rugged metal construction | Distance from the wall: 12 inches
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

My only complaint is that it comes with nuts and bolts but no washers or lock washers. It is a security issue of cost reduction. Washers and lock washers **required** for security. What would they be like to screw anything together. The constant vibrations from the wind and the attachment to the building will, over time, cause all of these screws to loosen. It's unacceptable that they expect you to install this without shims and lock washers to save pennies. So go to your home storage and buy…

  • Used to attach the mast to buildings/houses
