Unfortunately we didn't expect that. All beads roll in one direction and do not even weigh, so the desired calming effect is not achieved. There should be pockets to keep the weight in place. Disappointed

The cover fits perfectly, is removable and stays the same (softness and appearance) after washing. The beads in the weighted blanket are balanced fairly evenly. Not loud. It does get a little hot at times, but not to the point where it's unbearable - definitely not for super, SUPER hot sleepers or in warm weather. Other than that, I consider myself a moderate sleeper, but it works for me.

This is a great weighted blanket for one person, maybe someone smaller. The cover is nice and blurry (maybe not the best quality but it's ok), the weight seems right to me (115lbs, 5'4"). Even the kids love to snuggle up to them when we read bedtime stories. I found it very warm underneath, so I think you'll either use it in the winter when it's cold outside, or in the summer if you keep the AC on a relatively high setting. I've heard a lot about weighted comforters and wanted to try one of these. When it came up on Vine, I jumped at it. It is very well made and so soft! I have cats that love "soft" blankets. This one was mixed well by two. One of my dogs also preferred to be underneath. He gave up his usual "stuck to daddy" position to snuggle up to me underneath. This is my 3rd weighted duvet. This one is slightly larger than the other two. The other two had removable covers but had to be pulled over a blanket which was almost impossible.
