They slow down the thief. And it's worth it.

Easy to install, some adjustments needed. But nothing serious. I know it will happen if a thief tries to get into my van. But hopefully it will slow them down. At least that calms me down.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some small things

If you want it to be truly protected, this is it!

The smoothest since the old standard bolt on washer lock. The concept is great: the lock stays in place and the rotating cover helps protect the locks from freezing rain. The price was a bit high but now that they are installed they are worth the money. The only way out now is to cut the loops. My tools are my lifeline to a great job, they are much safer now!

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • boring packaging

Almost smooth: Interior

Approximately 1/4" to 3/8" on a 1998 Ford e250 on both locks. The lock seems to fly out of the car. There seems to be plenty of room to pry open or insert a mill blade. I will likely have to make modifications to the plastic cap to close the gap. The left mounting plate on both doors rests against a weatherproof groove so it is as deep as on this van. It also looks good and is easy to assemble.

GREAT LOCK fits in lockers

IF YOU HAVE A WORK TROLLEY WITH VALUABLE TOOLS INSIDE, YOU SHOULD GET THIS. I had brackets on my van but no real lock. My van was broken into and they got about $6,000 worth of tools. Eva, although they were able to get the padlocks I had on the brackets, they twisted the brackets so badly they couldn't open the doors. If I had slick locks on the mounts they might still have gone in but would have done less damage and made things more difficult. It requires minimal investment and is very easy…

Installation tip - why I sent them back

First tip - the instructions say to lubricate the large screws before removing them. In fact, they have permanent locktite. If you heat the nut in the door (I used a butane barbecue lighter) for about a minute and unscrew them while it's still hot, they'll come right out. BUT. I installed slicklock stays on the back of my 2006 E250. The lock installed was 7/16 from the face of the door and is quite articulated leaving enough room for a crowbar or saw. I contacted the manufacturer (who was very…

Pros
  • Great construction
