Sliding Patio Latch Lever Milgard Review

I broke a latch lever on a sliding glass door and was able to replace it myself. It took me longer to figure out what part I needed than to install a new latch. This new one holds. If I need another one I will definitely buy again.

Works with a sliding door in my house. I couldn't find it at local hardware stores. It's actually much better than the original sliding door. It is easy to install and functionally more reliable. This is a great product. I am very happy with my purchase.

poor quality Milgard mortise lock no longer works. Called Milgard for help and they told me they don't sell parts and referred me to their preferred resellers who were selling overpriced non-genuine parts. Instead, I chose Revain. Revain and this supplier saved the day with affordable replacement parts.

The shorter of the two latches here (1 3/16) replaced the old 2005/2006 9/16 inch latch. Excess length is easily compensated for by the free space in the interface of the outer shell of the handle. My door is only 1 1/16 inches thick, which is much thinner than any Milguard doors I see online; they will probably be classified or hired as contractors.

My sliding door latch broke and I couldn't find a replacement anywhere and thought I'd have to replace the whole handle. I found this bar and it fits just right, even better than the original bar because I wasn't sure if the longer shaft would fit. Arrived right away and is stronger and more durable than the original's shorter stem.

Correct size but made from a thinner material that feels weaker than the original. However, it fits, being thinner it wobbles a bit in the grip. Can provide full dimensions in description. If I buy it, I accept the fact that it is not an exact replacement. Works fine for now but I don't see it continuing.

The lock on my sliding door stopped working (inner lever didn't move up or down to lock). My husband wasn't home so I pulled the handle off the door to see if I could tell what the problem was.
