I bought this to complement the light in my Flex 15. However, it's bright enough, typical of most suction-cup aquarium equipment, and doesn't stay in place. Tank.

The light is very bright and the quality is excellent. However, the suction cups that come with the jar are of very poor quality and difficult to keep in place.

It's strong enough for my 5.5 gallons of tannins and I probably wouldn't use it alone in anything larger than a 15. Suction cups have come off the sides of the tank twice since I bought it but I think it's due to the cord being pressed against the edge of the tank. This seems to have been resolved as I used a clip to bend the leash and hold it in a more comfortable position. My only real complaint is that I wish the cord was a foot longer. I bought two of these to replace the current fluorescent lights on top of my tank. The idea was to have a white LED light that would improve fish and tank contents and eliminate the visibility of cloudy water that fluorescent lights offer. They do, but are too short to provide enough light for my 4 foot wide tank. So if you have a large aquarium, get longer spotlights. They have a long chord, which is handy. I am so in love with this lamp! It gives off the perfect amount of light and you can adjust it to make it brighter or dimmer as you wish. Mine can be seen at the back of the tank in a totally dark room, I don't like that kind of glare (and personally I think the fish appreciate it too!) and I love that I can rotate it easily , so that it is just perfect . for our preference.
