Required information is missing from manual

You cannot program the device if you do not have a SIM card installed and this is not mentioned anywhere in the downloadable manual. Without a SIM card, the device will not connect to the PC and you will not be able to program the device. I soon installed a SIM card from TMobile, programming was very easy.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Continued, worked for about 5 months

Used the cellular receiver for 2-3 months last fall and about 2 months this summer and the device failed. I placed the honeycomb block in a sealed plastic tool box. However, the cell block was weatherproof outside, and yet it failed after only 5 months of use. Worked fine while working.

Works well. in electrical boxes

Purchased to be used as a remote switch to turn on the aircraft engine heater as well as the cabin heater. It would be 5 stars except sometimes it takes up to an hour for the switch to respond to on/off requests and sometimes it activates instantly. This may be related to the cellular connection I use for this (Tello). No complaints during the rest of the month of operation.

Wireless pig trap relay, works perfectly

2 relays (30 amp), large screw terminals, an optional remote control, an optional backup battery and an updated app that allows you to control multiple devices at the same time. Fantastic cell phone reception. I couldn't be happier with this last offer. Great product at a great price!

Works perfectly. Easy control via the mobile app.

Used to turn on the aircraft engine heater. Use a basic $5/month SpeedTalk GSM SIM card. Get the AC version if you can. Offers a cleaner installation (no external 12V power supply). You can set the engine heater start time via your mobile phone with the "Delay” option. The heating switches off after the set time. When the heating is switched on, the device sends you a confirmation SMS. and another SMS from the device when it automatically turns off the rear engine heater. Very good. Enjoy. Be…

Pig Trap Guillotine Gate

Used to start the Pig Trap Gate, the main wiring is complete, just a few holes left in the box and weatherproof connectors for the cable, solar charger and external antenna. Works well so far with a Speedtalk SIM card ($5/month, downside is they want you to use your CC to activate which I was afraid of (false advertising on their part, activation takes a bit but works well so far and it's cheap). Should be clear. Wiring details, I'll probably add a 30A fuse to power the door latch.

Solidly built and works great

I bought this cellular control relay to turn on a district heating system. The instructions are detailed (some concepts are a bit difficult, lost in translation, but much better than my Chinese). The biggest challenge was getting a cheap SIM card and a working data plan - a problem that had nothing to do with this great product. Rather, it is a problem due to the mass confusion in the cheap mobile phone market! The best deal I found was Speedtalkmobile (I bought this card…

A little homemade but worth it

I'm not sure I've ever written a review on here but I was impressed with the money saved and felt I had to share it. Just so you know, this is not a plug and play device. It requires a little work but a lot of value. I am using this device to remotely turn the crankcase heater on and off on my airplane (RV-7A). I have a 2G device that is about to fail and needs an update. This provider (Sw_tchb_xc_ntr_l) has a 4G module. I just didn't want to pay what they asked. The competitor's 4G box is very
