    Great companion camera for Canon 7D owners

    I just love this camera, it's really fast and the picture quality is excellent. I used to use a Canon S95 as a companion camera but was completely disappointed with the photos I took with it. I sold S95 and got NEX 5N. Even without a flash, this camera performs very well in low light conditions. If you want to use Flash, here's a great way to get better pictures. Cut out a small business card or any piece of cardboard and adjust it to the width of the included flash. The length is about 1.5…

    The absolute best camera for the money

    I love this camera. I have more expensive cameras with more megapixels but they don't give me good home photos of my daughter. The auto ISO setting allows this camera to run at ISO 3200 and at that setting it takes really good low light shots. The 24MP cameras I have have more noise at 3200 and lower quality low light shots. There are sharpness and saturation settings for your shots, allowing even experienced photographers to get their shots exactly the way they want. But there are also some…

    Beautiful high quality modal in a compact size

    I had a point and shoot that after 4 years started causing problems. I decided to buy a new camera and wanted to upgrade from a point and shoot model to an advanced model.     Beautiful shots, light and compact, took some time to master the controls

    PROs: Lighter and more compact than my Nikon DSLR and the image quality is just as good. The controls took a little getting used to after working with DSLRs for a few decades, but now that I've gotten used to them they're pretty intuitive.     Best Digital Camera I've Ever Owned

    I am very impressed with the Sony NEX-5N. Shooting is also excellent out of the box and I think the added weight compared to the smaller tip and shooting is well worth it. When it comes to cameras, I'm just a casual consumer, definitely not a professional photographer. I've had a lot of small digital cameras, but they've always been a bit disappointing.     Great camera - make sure you adjust the menu

    (Minor updates below added June 2012). I bought the NEX-5N in mid-October 2011, just before traveling to Europe. Bottom line: it takes great photos without a flash, especially in really bad light conditions (like 1000 year old wine cellars). As others have written, the 18-55 zoom camera takes very high quality photos - no loss in quality to take advantage of the small size and light weight compared to a top-end DSLR.
