More than needed

A necessary evil when upgrading cameras that require a dedicated card reader. This one is good but damn overpriced. Still get it over other cheaper ones. Just to ensure the correct transfer of your digital files.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Reliable seller, new product, excellent packaging and delivery.

The card is brand new, well packaged, shipped quickly, writes quickly and otherwise works great with my Z6. It is claimed to be very durable in harsh environments (can't report on that yet).

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Not sure

Mismatched Photo for Computer and Accessories

The card reader works well with CF Express B and XQD cards, but it's not the small compact device advertised by Revain. This is an SD card reader. A real card reader is about 6 times larger and has separate CB and CC cables that can be folded.

Pros
  • Positive Only
Cons
  • Something's Wrong

Start with this, not the others

I have tried 2 other CFE/XQD card readers before and each one didn't work at all and was returned. I could have saved myself a lot of frustration and time if I had bought this in the first place.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • No color required

Ease of use on memory cards Accessories

I recently bought a CF Express card for my Nikon Z II - previously used XQD cards - now I have both types - this card reader works great with any type of card - nice To have a reader that works for both card types - have been using it for a few months now - works great - very easy and quick transfer to my macbook.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

Expensive but works great!

Works great with XQD and CF Express cards on my two Nikon D850s. Only complaint, I wish it also had a CF card reader slot for my D810. It has a full size SD card reader which I only used with the adapter for my micro SD card from my Mavic Pro 2. It seems to work great for that too! If you need it, I definitely recommend it despite the high cost.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Poor

Just great!: memory card reader

After years of bad experiences with the cheaper CFexpress card reader (and eventually died) I was pleasantly surprised by this card reader despite some drawbacks mixed reviews I read. It reads the CFexpress card almost instantly and transfers the data to the computer with amazing speed. I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that I also use a Sony CFexpress memory card.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • old

Broke before I could even use it

I thought I would be smart to buy the same brand of reader to work with my Sony XQD cards but it was the worst of the three I bought. Rocketek's $45 metal XQD reader got hot as a curling iron and transferred SEVERAL files before crashing my Windows machine. Previously, it moved slower than molasses, which moved uphill. The $20 plastic Rocketek XQD/SD reader was a treasure trove. This Sony was plastic, $100, inexplicably large, and having installed it once when I first opened it a month ago, it…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Works with Mac and USB-C hub

I bought a Sandisk reader and it didn't work well with my Mac (OS 11.3) via a USB-C hub. This surprised me a little given the name and experience of Sandisk. The only reason I didn't bother with the less expensive Nameless was because I was afraid of incompatibility. Kind of ironic. Sandisk tech support was unhelpful and blamed my hardware. OK. So I returned it and reluctantly bought a Sony - I really didn't want to spend $100 on a card reader. A little crazy. But it works with my mac and hub…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Anything I can add
