Connects to existing plumbing leading to house. 25 year old underground pipe sanded, used PVC cleaner and primer. A generous amount of PVC glue was applied. The back of the blade serves as a lever for compressing the pipe. Allow the cement and plumbing to dry for 2 days before drilling the fitting. Worked great! No leaks in the 70psi system.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • No dispenser

Hard to find product

This special little connector is absolutely invaluable in situations where you need to make a connection to an existing water line that cannot be disconnected. I used it to connect to a pressurized supply line before connecting to a blocked water meter. After attaching the matching ball valve directly to it, I was able to connect the water line and reconnect to the line on the other side of the meter.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

The best way to connect to an existing supply line!

The best way I have found to connect to an existing water source without using much more time consuming and expensive methods. To make this connection without this saddle connection I would have had to dig a few feet of dirt from each side of this intended connection just to cut the pipe and then make the connection. I've used this saddle connection method a few times, it's relatively easy, safe, and works!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
