Not suitable for efi el camino

Bought to see if it can be adapted for efi el camino. It won't fit. I believe the product is for gbody Regals. Get the efi dispatch module from Mikes Monties.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

perfect for commutators

This gear unit was perfect, it fitted right into my stock 87 Cutlass Supreme fuel tank. It's perfect for anyone doing LS replacements on a Gbody car, the pump I use is direct attached (Carter P90005). I'm sure there are others. You definitely need a fuel pressure regulator, especially if the car is carbureted.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not the best

1987 Buick Grand National

Haven't fitted this yet as I managed to fix my old transmission while waiting for it to arrive. It appears to be of exceptional quality. This device is made in China. For those who are also looking, I also ordered a Spectra fuel tank. It was also of excellent quality and made in Canada.

Cons
  • Can't remember

Ideal replacement for Gbody LS

Ls everything! Use this to replace the ls in a 83g Malibu body. I understand why people might want to go the cheaper route and use the external fuel pump method, but I wanted to do more from the factory. This is the same transmitter used in the Buick Grand National. I bought this as well as a GN FUEL tank and am set up.

  • Weight

I bought it because I wanted to change the fuel pump.

I bought this because I changed the fuel pump - so I might as well replace it while I have everything disassembled and everything in the tank is new. There was nothing wrong with the original old unit that came from the factory - it read correctly - but this new one only reads 3/4 of a tank when the tank is full. I recommend sticking with the original GM station, which I believe is AC Delco.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Negative impression

Exact almost perfect fit

Bought for 86 GN. I didn't have much of a choice so I chose Spectra. It came with a bottom bushing, a hose that goes between the pump and the gauge, a rubber oil scraper that goes between the gauge and the tank, a new snap ring and a petrol hose. Ohm resistors were ideal: 0 was empty and 90 was full. All cables fit together perfectly, as does the electrical connector. The dimensions are also almost identical. The only area of concern is the plastic area where the electrical sensor is located…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
