GREAT SOLUTION for 2 COMPUTERS WITH ONE MONITOR/KEYBOARD/MOUSE

I added a dedicated desktop as a hub for my security system, although I didn't want to create an entirely separate computer station - this switch was the perfect answer! By connecting the HDMI cables from both computers to the respective sides of PC 1 and 2 (this requires HDMI - one of my computers only had DP so I needed an adapter) and by connecting the supplied USB cables to the same computers, can i share the peripherals attached to the front of the switch. Quality: Excellent, Aesthetics: Not Great

My requirements for this switch were pretty simple. I have a Mac mini and MacBook Air and I want them to share a monitor, so all I need is an HDMI switch to control which computer is connected to the monitor. Since one of my computers is a laptop, I didn't have to switch to USB, but it's nice to have that option in the future. I love the simplicity of this device. Function over form, it works great but doesn't fit into a minimalist setup

I recently upgraded the computer components and of course got an additional fully functional computer. While waiting to figure out what to do with it long-term, I temporarily installed it next to a new computer running Folding@home in the background to help in some way improve society. No Hotkey Toggle

No Instructions I've seen which keys to use. I've tried all the standard Shift/Ctrl/Scroll Lock and 1/2 double click for computer use but never switched. To return.

It feels like yesterday KVMs were huge, expensive things with big DVI ports on the back. The prices are lower, the boxes are smaller and with HDMI even the plugs are smaller! I have it on my desktop, I can easily share screen and keyboard between mu NUC and my Pi. That's a lot better than pulling the wires every time.
