I used 4 sets of these for my security.

I have used 4 of these kits on my security cameras and they have worked flawlessly so far. I was able to replace the original Siamese video/power cables that came with my system with a Cat5e cable and use them to connect the cameras and DVR. No power issues and clean video with 60ft range for the longest 2 runs.

Pros
  • Transferring power and video from security cameras over 1000ft over CAT5 cable
Cons
  • Not sure

Surprising Gadgets in Surveillance Devices

These things work better than I ever imagined. I installed a cheap DVR camera system in a rental house. Instead of pre-made BNC video cables I've opted for CAT5 in case I ever want to upgrade to an IP CAMERA. I plugged these connectors into each end of my CAT5 and we got down to business. The video quality is excellent. The cable length in my system is about 100 feet.

Pros
  • Onboard Linearity, Sharpness, and Color Control
Cons
  • Slightly Wrinkled

They work exactly as intended and they are great!

These baluns fit my home security cameras. Keep in mind that the ethernet connector on the balun is a bit thick when installed outdoors. So if you want to hide your cables (in a curtain rod or whatever) you either have to connect them to the house or feed them in from the inside. outside to connect to the camera. Or drill a little more hole, skip it and cover the screw. They work exactly as intended and they are great!

Pros
  • Integrated surge protection
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Excellent video signal!

This product is amazing! I have used a screw terminal video balun and compared to these they have virtually no interference compared to others I have used! For the price they are worth it! I installed this in the corner of the front yard, with no roof. But I bought these electronics boxes for projects and made holes for the wires to keep them covered. It's held up great, can't comment on heavy rain (since I live in Southern California), but as long as you put it in a tight "weather" box, any…

Pros
  • Offers unparalleled noise reduction
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
