Squishable Cupcake and 🧁 Cake Carrier - Portable and Collapsible Review

This is a Lifesaver! I bake a lot of cupcakes and love that I can freeze and decorate them before shipping. Even if I use a tall cupcake topper, it goes well with it. I definitely recommend this carrier.

I bake a variety of pastries and cakes and always use disposable boxes and cake stands which accumulate over time. This carrier is so versatile! I was able to fit this donut tower inside (without the topper, of course) when it was fully extended! It's durable and I like the soft grips. I'm so glad I have this!

I like the size and the ability to resize. The biggest advantage for me, however, was the stable carrying support. With large, three-layered, heavy cakes, we needed something strong and durable. Not a problem for us, but the plate sits in a ring (making it easy to switch between cake stand and cupcake holder) and therefore rotates.

There is potential if you have the tools to fix it. Otherwise don't worry, your cake will eventually fall over. When I opened it, 2 rivets rolled out of the box. I checked all the others and all 8 rivets come off easily. They don't look like they're connected, they just look like they're together. Luckily my husband had another set of rivets that worked and replaced them all. So I'm only keeping it because we fixed it.

The foldable design was the main selling point for this model. Appreciate that it doesn't take up all the space when not in use. Slightly large for storing baked goods in the fridge, may need a 'regular' dome-only cake stand anyway. Cons include a base that doesn't fit snugly in the ring when using the cupcake side, and no space to store a second cupcake tier if used for cakes - that would be very handy if it was all inclusive. Lid will not snap into base on either flat cake side or curved cupcake side. It's worrying. Also, there are no latches or twist locks to secure the cover once it's on. It would be as simple as tucking little tabs into the bottom compartment that you place the top on and twisting to latch. It relies solely on a nylon strap to hold it together. which seems counterintuitive when you can actually seal it. There's also no way to store a second cupcake tray, which also seems inefficient. I really like this product. I haven't had another carrier to really compare but based on other product reviews I'm happy with this purchase. I figured the lid wouldn't be secure without the latches that connect the top to the base, but the negative feedback on other products has been that the latches weren't strong enough to hold the desserts in place, and would fall off the floor and the treats would fly everywhere. The cake stand is very pretty. I like that it can be folded up to save space. It's good quality and when it's closed you don't have to worry about the handle coming off. I've used it twice. This container replaced another container that was too heavy and bulky for me and ended up becoming very brittle and cracked when I banged it lightly on the corner.
