Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain - Low Noise, Multiple Pets Friendly, 2L/67Oz Capacity Review

I have 4 of these fountains. 2 are an older model and 2 are the newer. I have 2 small dogs and 2 large cats. Overall these are nice fountains. The water in my fountains is changed out every 2 days, the stainless steel parts are washed in the dishwasher, and the pump and filter housing are soaked in a bowl with water and vinegar, thoroughly rinsed then allow to air dry. I have never had any problems with the pumps breaking down nor have I had problems with rust or pitting in the stainless steel.

I have inherited my mothers cat that they just had one of the gravity water bowl things, the cat wasn't' drinking enough, so we bought her this, and her consumption of water has more than doubled. She hasn't had any trouble using it and was never scared of it. It gently bubbles up from the center with nary a sound. My cat definitely loved it and drank more water because of it, but it was too big for me and my small apt with only one cat. It wasn’t much of a fountain look, just water falling down which I wanted more of a water fountain effect.

I'm happy to have a stainless steel fountain. It's dishwasher safe, and the cats drink out of it regularly. Good value for money.

My only real complaint is the sticker that was put on this was impossible to get off without leaving any of it behind. Besides that, my kittens love to drink from this and I know from learning from owning cats previously that they don’t like to drink still water and will get dehydrated easily. I wanted to get a fountain for my new 2 month old kittens and was worried they would be scared or hesitant with this but when it’s set up and filled properly with water it’s very quiet and they love it…

My cat loves this. She’s been drinking more water which has resolved an issue she was having with her eyelids due to dehydration. Probably the best thing I’ve ever done for other than rescuing her.

Got this to hopefully help my cats keep their paws out of their water bowl and it has worked! My cats would always paw at their water before drinking and then leave a trail of paw prints and water on the floor to then be soaked up with your socks. This fountain keeping the water moving so they can see it has been a tremendous wet sock saver. Should have gotten this years ago.

Item worked good as descriptors but for some reason the cats didn’t like it. We have other styles of fountain for years but for some reason they weren’t thrilled with this one. My only gripe is the filter cartridge for it. It’s a tiny little thing and mostly plastic and not much of a filter. The filter looked very proprietary to that pump. This is exactly what I needed. My cat and dog were not drinking from their water bowls like they needed to so I bought this and it's made a huge difference. It's easy to assemble, silent and the water stays clean. At first my critters were afraid of it but soon warmed up to it and now I'm refilling it every few days because they are always drinking which is wonderful compared to before. I highly recommend this!

This is easy to clean, however, would be better with a two section cord. To clean, either the whole fountain must be taken apart, or you must carry the cord with you. The fact that this is stainless steel, and has a filter, means that weekly rinse and wipe clean shows that there is no nasty growth in the bowl of the unit. Bought this because my cat would only drink running water. This has been great. The water stays nice and cool. The only downside I've noticed is when it gets a bit low, it starts making a strange noise. It goes away as soon as you fill back to top though. You can clean/rinse off the filter a few times but then it's easy enough to purchase the 4 pack of carbon filters. They last a while!

Update: Myself and my cats (and dog) love this water dish so much that I bought a 3rd one! I’ve cleaned them since the first review and found it pretty easy and painless. Just take the motor out, put both stainless steel parts in the dishwasher and wash the motor piece by hand, replace the charcoal filter, and let all pieces dry before reassembling. I don’t think I mentioned the first time that these dishes come with a 2nd charcoal filter, and little cleaning brushes to help you get the job…

This item came in a bag not box and arrived dented (not a problem). but it was dirty and had some other item that I didn't order in the bag. Also there are two filters in this but only one came with it. I am assuming that the other set of filters were supposed to be in the other bag that came with itNot happy but the fountain works and I'll have to reorder the second filter.

Cats can be fickle drinkers and I went through a few different water bowls before this one. My cats still dirty the water somewhat (they like sticking their paws in and drinking it off their paw sometimes), but not as bad now. I can tell they drink more water too since I have to fill it more often (1-2 drinking glasses daily).I still have one cat that prefers the bathtub faucet, but that’s his problem.Would absolutely recommend for anyone with fickle cats.

Great fountain, very easy to clean, cats love it. Pump died within a month, even with regular cleaning (I have an aquarium so I know the importance of regularly cleaning the pump and pieces) and keeping the fountain full. I work from home so I know it didn't run dry somehow during the day. Frustrating but will continue to use with new pump. I'll update if the new pump dies too.

So this is pretty okay of a water fountain. The sound level works ONLY if the water is filled to a certain point, otherwise the noise level is like a banshee screaming at you. It’s easy to assemble and take apart to clean and my cats use it frequently.

It's alright, I like that it's stainless steel but if anything falls into the water it doesn't get sucked up by the filter it just floats around the sides. It also makes a lot of noise when the water goes down by not even half.

Extremely quiet. All stainless steel-very nice. Easy set up and comes with cleaning brushes and two extra filters. I had to return it only because my cats would not use it.

At first, I was ecstatic, even though it took my cat a few days to get used to it. It was quiet, so I kept it in my room. But here we are, less than 3 months later, and it doesn’t work.
