The material is the same as duvets but since you are not underneath it doesn't work as amazing as duvets. Definitely cooler than regular pillowcases, but they get hot when you lie on them after a minute or so. I almost regret not having spent money on them, but they help a bit. Would I recommend buying them? No not at all. Maybe just buy a silk pillowcase or something cheap somewhere else. They probably work the same way.

I bought these pillowcases because I am very satisfied with the duvet from the same company. These are very soft and smooth. The material is slippery, so the pillow tends to slide off when the head of the bed is raised. This isn't a problem if you're actually using a pillow. I like the zipper, it keeps the case in place well. The material feels cooler than a thicker cotton pillowcase. Don't expect miracles when it comes to cooling. So this is interesting. I liked that they had lightning bolts. And the blue stripe was nice, although much darker than the photo, it looked blue-grey.
