Thin weird fabric, no pillow protector
They are ridiculously thin. The fabric had an odd feel—it reminded me of the 1960s polyester clothes my mom kept in the closet for nostalgia. I won't even put them on my son's pillows because they won't really protect the pillow underneath - sweat or oil from hair will seep through and ruin the pillow quickly. As for "cooling" I tested it by just putting my hand on it and it feels cool at first, like a silk or satin sleeve, but ends up feeling just as warm as regular cotton sleeves. It's not worth it.
