This is made in the USA. Won't throw any code.

I used this on a Chevy 4.3. I bought the ones that were a little cheaper than GM products, but they always gave out the test machine code. This wasn't, and the price for it is a little lower.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Non-genuine product

Non-standard Tru-Tech product. It does not come in a box and does not come with thermal paste. Sent in bubble wrap with some scratches. Looks like a $10 Chinese fake and doesn't even have a part number.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Expensive

I think it works? for ECU

Same as my old ignition module truck misfire. I think I misdiagnosed the problem. Works just like my old original module. Only 4 stars because the packaging showed signs of wear and improper handling. The thermal paste tube was also missing.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Compatibility

It works and better safe than sorry!

Good cheap truck part. If they fail, there is no detour down the road! Spare ICM, Phillips #1 screwdriver and a 7/32 wrench and you'll be back on the road in 20 minutes! It's too hot to get stuck in Arizona! (A replacement fuel pump relay wouldn't hurt either)!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Got this as a backup/spare part. Hoping it's never needed. The first symptoms were absence, backlash and stagnation. Went to an unhelpful mechanic who claimed to have diagnosed the problem as a bad CO2 sensor and the whole thing cost about $275. Driving through town the next day, I stopped and had to be towed. My brother told me to try replacing the ignition module and I've never had a problem since.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • little things

That's bullshit or so I thought

I installed this ignition control module on my truck and it took a day. Serious. A day. The second day I was stuck in traffic after driving away from home and the engine started again and ran on about 4 out of 8. I managed to get home before I had to be towed. Here's how I know it's a problem: With a known good 15 year old or older module, the truck runs fine. I just don't know how long I can trust the old module. I think it's really difficult to find quality replacement parts to keep a '95 on…

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Nothing here
