🔌 Enhance Vehicle Performance with Standard Motor Products RY175T Glow Plug Relay Review

Based on my experience, this relay is a complete waste of money. I purchased it for my performance car and it failed within a month. The pros are that it was easy to install, but the cons outweigh that one positive. It caused my car's electronics to malfunction and it was very frustrating to deal with. I would not recommend this product to anyone in need of a reliable Automotive relay.

One of the small clamps broke out of the plastic at very low torque. I saw how terribly thin the plastic was when I took it off. Obviously it was junk at the time, so I guess I lost my money on it. I expected more from standard products

Ordered a cheaper relay but did not assemble it correctly. This one fits and works perfectly. As it turned out a cheaper relay would have worked as my controller was also blown. I found my wiring diagram for the glow plug, disassembled the dashboard and connected a momentary switch from the 'wait to start' light wire to ground, tucked the controller under the hood and used a screw for the relay in its place. .
