I bought this printer for my business. I am a mobile seller. I work as advertised, worth every penny. Almost everything is emailed these days, but a printed ticket is always welcome. In addition, the presence of all the necessary tools will give you a professional image and improve the shopping experience for your customers.

Good portable, seems reliable, prints well on some of our test prints. Bought because it was listed as iPad compatible but we use a web based POS system so iPad compatibility was not enough to work with our system, it also had to be AirPrint compatible. Our tech support worked on it for a week and ended up having to send it back. If you have an app based POS system it might work fine, but not for web systems.

Thermal print paper that was supposed to be the paper you ordered when you ordered the printer. It came with a small roll, when used the new one was too big for the diameter of the printer so the lid wouldn't close, so I took off enough so the roll was small enough for the job. They sent me rolls, probably 230ft, and the Star 300i probably takes 80ft or 100ft rolls. Trying to find 31/8 in wide thermal paper that is 80 or 100 feet long. We need to use the center of the roll to roll up the excess

Durable, good battery, nice checks, very portable and adaptable as it uses bluetooth. (Oddly, it also has an old-fashioned hardwired serial port, not USB.) Unfortunately, at least on Shopify, it takes about 10 seconds from a sale to the receipt being printed. That's at least 5 seconds too long, because you're awkwardly waiting with the customer for his receipt. He uses small rolls of paper that don't last very long and are very hard to find (online only). I bought this little receipt printer to use with the Apple Square Register iPad app to print sales receipts for my prospective Kindergartener. As a plug and play device, it worked great. My iPad recognized the printer in the Bluetooth settings menu and connected with no problems. The PIN is 1234 by the way. I had some trouble finding this information.
