THE BEST WAY TO SAVE $240! Holy buckets!

I'm so damn happy I stumbled upon this solution. I crushed my Honda Accord key as I closed my front door. I was looking for solutions and spent a couple of weeks fiddling with a key wrapped in a rubber band. In the end, after this thing falling apart countless times, I decided I needed to spend $250 to buy a Honda spare key. On a last try, I came to Revain and searched for something like "Honda Spare Key" and came across this thing. It arrived fairly quickly, was really easy to assemble and now

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Has the key come loose from the case? Get it, don't go to the dealer!

BUY! This is a great money-saving solution. I paid almost $35 to have a locksmith cut the key with another replacement I bought. I returned it and got this and it worked like a charm on a 2009 Honda Accord. Another option is to buy from a retailer for $150. I would deduct 1/2 stars because one of the screws won't tighten, just keeps turning, but the other three are tight and the key doesn't move in the case or anything. It's bigger than the original case, but I don't mind asking how it works is

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions

  • Almost never

Perfect fit for my 2011 Honda Pilot

worked great. My original key was from a 2011 Honda Pilot. My key blade and module were fine - the outer casing broke - right at the junction of the key's metal blade and casing - this is not uncommon. ) redesigned the transponder chip and placed it in the key (when I say "key" here, I mean the whole thing - the module, the chip, the outer case and the metal blade). For a 2011 Honda Pilot, a chip (an electronic device that communicates with another component in the ignition and allows you to…

Better quality than factory keys.

This is a great option if your factory key is on its last legs. I bought this for my 2009 Honda Pilot Key which bent every time I twisted it in the ignition it was time to move. The retailer is too expensive, so I turned to Amazon. Delivery was quick and convenient. I ordered on Friday and it arrived today (Sunday). To be honest I was worried it wouldn't fit my Pilot key because no other review or question I've read referred to the Honda Pilot but I can confirm it works perfectly. .It took less

Does not start? Read it!

After fully inserting my old broken key into this one, I was a little surprised at how well it fits and is secure. It was a great relief to know that after spending over $100 on a new key I wouldn't end up at the dealership. When I finally put the key in the ignition and tried to start it, it wouldn't start. I immediately noticed that the small transponder key was too far from the ignition cylinder and wasn't being read properly. At that point I had the option to return the case or modify it to

  • Stable results when tested

  • Doubtful

Great value, quality replacement key shell solution

Love it! Works perfectly. Installation was easy (as long as you have a jeweler sized screwdriver to remove the embedded chip. I've attached some pictures so others can see how to do it. But it's actually quite simple. I have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. Once replaced factory key with another dealer key. That was expensive! And I wouldn't do it again now that the truck is older. Absolutely nothing wrong with a metal key or transmitter. Only the plastic case has given up. It's just part of the whole…

A reliable, inexpensive and effective solution to a broken Honda key.

An excellent replacement projectile, especially for such a price. This is the perfect replacement for this type of problem where the metal key shoulder and plastic socket break in the original Honda key. You simply snap the entire metal shaft out of an old Honda OEM case and fit it into that case using thin washers (if needed). Insert the remote control into the seat, then securely fasten it with 4 torx screws (supplied with the tool). not intended to be easily replaced if the metal key piece…
