Straw caps leak: my feedback

This is my third attempt with this product and I do not recommend these for anyone intending to use the straw caps. The first round of flasks got holes after a few months of light use. The second and third purchases are useless because the straw caps leak (the bite valve caps did not). Very disappointed since this brand is supposed to be high quality. Don’t waste your time.

Pros
  • Takes up minimal space in your purse or bag
Cons
  • The water bottle may have a shorter lifespan than a non-collapsible water bottle

Good product so far

Lightweight and no weird flavor. I like that you can roll it up. The video in the ad shows a hand strap, but this was not included. If not for that, I would have given this more stars.

Pros
  • Easy to clean
Cons
  • The water bottle may not be as easy to clip onto a backpack or gear as a non-collapsible water bottle

Decent soft flask, but difficult to close

I use this bottle with my Salomon 1L running vest. As soft flasks go, it is okay. I prefer the types of flasks which have a larger opening, as it makes it easier to clean, but the wide mouth really doesn't serve the kind of purpose to which it is typically put.The most significant issue is that it is very difficult to close - to secure the lid you have to apply significant twisting force to it and the bottle,, but the only surface you have to grab onto on the flask is the collar right under…

Pros
  • Can be used for hot or cold beverages
Cons
  • The collapsible feature may make it more difficult to regulate the flow of liquid while drinking

bite valve is weak point

First off, I love these soft flasks. The problem is the bite valve. I use with my salomon pulse belt and storing invariably means some water leakage. The same if I want to pack them away. If the bite valves are clear and won't be pressed against, then they are fine; however, storing them into compartments/pockets like on the salomon pulse belt, ends up with some leaking.

Pros
  • Can be attached to backpacks or belts for easy access
Cons
  • The water bottle may not be suitable for carbonated beverages due to the collapsible feature

This has a nice opening for ice and for easy cleaning. It is very lightweight and moldable to fit into different size pockets. When you drink it does not fill with air so you get water immediately when you bite the end. The end does not need to be opened or closed, just bite down, and it does not leak when you bend over to tie a shoe.

Pros
  • Can easily a handheld for short distance good for Nathan vest
Cons
  • one flask was punctured upon arrival. not a great sign for durability.

Superb Hydration System

Great hydration system. Easy to fill and drink on the move. Collapse as they drain. Easy to dry afterwards. That's my review!

Pros
  • Safe for all ages
Cons
  • The water bottle may have an odd texture due to the collapsible feature

Leak on 2nd use. on my review.

I only do longer runs occasionally. The 2nd use it started leaking out of small pin hole. I REGRET BUYING! That's my review.

Pros
  • HYDRATION VEST COMPATIBLE: Fits easily in most hydration vests, belts or pack pockets. Provides bounce-free stability and a flexible flask shoulder to prevent chafing.
Cons
  • The water bottle may be prone to punctures or tears

Developed hole quickly

Worked as expected initially but got a hole in the flask itself after just a couple uses (very gentle - sitting in a hydration pack pocket).

Pros
  • Helps reduce plastic waste in landfills and oceans
Cons
  • The water bottle may be more prone to sweating while in use compared to a solid water bottle

Awesome soft flasks

I bought these to use in my Orange Mud Endurance Pack 2L. They are so much better than a hard plastic bottle! I prefer the short bite valves.

Pros
  • Environmentally friendly alternative to disposable bottles
Cons
  • The water bottle may be prone to slipping or falling out of a hydration pack due to its collapsible shape

Idea is great but it leaks so I can’t use it

Idea is great because it fits perfectly in my pack but it leaks out all the water if it gets flipped upside down. A mess if I decide to take off my pack.Waste of money

Pros
  • Easy to use and refill. Perfect for races and training runs.
Cons
  • Holding up well.

Exactly what I was hoping for

I wanted to find easy to use, collapsible bottles that I could put in side pockets for long distance (marathon) running. These worked perfectly for me.I ran a marathon with them - they didn't have a horrid taste (I did wash a couple of times before using), I could fit in my side pockets (running tights), I could take out and put back into my pockets whilst running, I could easily fill at a water station and simply squeezing the top when drinking meant I could suck water regardless of how full…

Pros
  • Won't shatter or crack like glass bottles
Cons
  • The water bottle may not be as durable as a solid water bottle

Game changer for my opinion

These make all of my bottles so much easier to refill at aid stations & even for cleaning. I can go back to regular lids. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Fits in most cup holders
Cons
  • The collapsible feature may make the water bottle more prone to mold or bacteria growth

This HydraPak soft bottle is a great size (600mL) for carrying a few on a Day Hike. I've detected no plastic scent or flavor, and definitely appreciate the "collapse as you draw water through the bite valve". The size allows perhaps two in a Pack's elastic water bottle pocket, and an easy carry in a shoulder strap mounted mesh water bottle pocket - this size provides a good volume of water and a reasonable weight at the shoulder.Note, however, that the collapse of the bottle can be a mixed…

Pros
  • Built-in handle for easy carrying
Cons
  • The water bottle may not fit securely in a variety of hydration pack models

Great Flasks good for me

The quick open top is great and makes it much easier to fill the flask mid-run. Flasks fit perfectly in a Salomon running vest. I've popped several Salomon flasks and switched to these after seeing a review saying they were higher quality. I cannot really tell a difference, but I also have not popped one yet.

Pros
  • Holds up to 500ml of water
Cons
  • The water bottle may not hold up well when dropped or bumped

Light without liquid, and works like a charm.

Carried them in a hydration vest’s front pockets. They were full with electrolytes and whilst felt awkward running with these water packs, I was so glad I had them during my 16 miles long run. They worked great, and I loved the extended neck as I didn’t have to fiddle around to get a drink. Very easy to clean, and the drinking part comes apart for a good clean. So happy I got this flask.

Pros
  • Keeps drinks cold for hours
Cons
  • The water bottle may develop creases or wrinkles over time from being repeatedly collapsed

Good product-one leaked immediately

One leaked immediately so I could only use one. I like the one that works-I use it regularly for running. The collapsible feature may make it difficult to measure the amount of water consumed!

Pros
  • sólo la vieja y antigua falla de la pérdida por las costuras
Cons
  • The collapsible feature may make it difficult to measure the amount of water consumed

Broke after little use. Almost swallowed a piece.

The valve part broke off when I was taking a drink. I almost swallowed the piece that broke off. I'm so glad I didn't. I've onlyused this product a couple of times so this is very disappointing and concerning for safety.

Pros
  • No need to worry about buying bottled water
Cons
  • The collapsible feature may make it difficult to drain any remaining liquid after use

EXCELLENT water holder - well made

Got this for my Son-in-law who does a LOT of mountain climbing. He loved it. Said it worked perfectly and fit right in with the rest of his long hike equipment.

Pros
  • COLLAPSIBLE FLASK: Soft material conforms to any pocket, and shrinks as you drink to reduce movement and pack away easily when empty.
Cons
  • The collapsible feature may result in the water bottle losing its shape over time

Perfect fit for my UD vesta

I felt compelled to write this review because I almost ended up spending $25 apiece on the extremely hard-to-come-by UD Body Bottle with straws to fit my UD vesta. I decided to give these a shot, and not only they fit my hydration vest perfectly, but the straws were the right length and they are really easy to clean. I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend these bottles!

Pros
  • BEYOND LIFETIME WARRANTY: If you experience any issue, we’ll repair or replace the item for free. Whatever it takes to keep your adventure going.
Cons
  • The water bottle may not be suitable for those with larger hands

Like the long sippy straw

Planning on using this for skiing. It's nice not to have to take your gloves off to get to a water bottle, or worry about dropping the lid on the lift. Fits in my front pocket, then just grab the straw and sip!

Pros
  • Love this! Wish I knew about it years ago. So easy to clean vs. hydropack for trail runs/hikes.
Cons
  • The water bottle may leak easily
