Velcro doesn't hold

I've had these shoes for a month and a half now. The velcro stops staying after about a month. Now they fall off my son's feet and won't stay on his feet. It's been a month now and I can't return it.

Pros
  • Everything seems to be
Cons
  • These shoes fell apart after a month

Poor velcro in my opinion

I liked that this shoe was wide and gave my son good support, but the Velcro deteriorated so quickly. Even after cleaning, it no longer sticks. I bought another pair and the same thing happened! Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Fits perfectly. My son is 1 year and 8 months old
Cons
  • Not very durable and can wear out quickly with frequent use

The Velcro stopped working after a month

The Velcro on one shoe stopped working. Very disappointed. I love everything else about this pair of shoes, but toddler slippers that don't fasten with snaps are almost useless.

Pros
  • Durable construction: The running shoes are made of high-quality materials that ensure a long service life even with everyday wear and tear.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for outdoor play or hiking

cute and comfy

The shoes look like the photo. Very comfortable and flexible shoes. They look amazing and my 3.5 year old isn't afraid to put them on. Great shoes!

Pros
  • Stride Rite is always well made and comfortable
Cons
  • The Velcro fell apart after 6 weeks. Velcro is definitely poor quality.

Great sneakers with good Velcro!

I bought a pair of children's shoes. These are true to size. However, if they have a wide selection, maybe next time I'll get them. My son doesn't have "chunky" feet, but I feel like the tongue of the shoe sticks out too high when I keep his foot there. The velcro is long enough to work in any direction and holds up very well! I've bought a couple where the velcro doesn't hold up and this pair has it!

Pros
  • This is the third pair of the exact same shoes that we have bought. They fit perfectly and our son walks in them with no problem. No complaints.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for formal occasions or events

Fit well, maybe wear a little big

I love Stride Rite shoes for my little one. He calls them faster sneakers, but they can also be cleaned for family dinners or at church. The toe box is a bit larger than most kids' running shoes, but I'm not worried about outgrowing them anytime soon. They have held up very well and still look great after months in the park, in the sandpit and in the mud.

Pros
  • The sole is too thin and too soft
Cons
  • They were light, comfortable and durable. Only the buckles do not close.

Broken after stamping

The shoes were great for a couple of weeks and then the velcro softened, stopped sticking and opened wider. $50 for useless shoes.

Pros
  • Suitable for hiking. Comfortable. No bruises on the ankles.
Cons
  • I like the shoes but the velcro on one of them stopped working (after 1 month).

Nice wide shoe but velcro doesn't work. Disappointing.

It's been a while and we liked these sneakers for my son's feet which are really wide and thick but the velcro has started to fray and the straps aren't really staying in place anymore. The slightest pressure releases them and my son easily trips or his feet come out. upset.

Pros
  • Ideal for growing feet: The wide width, comfortable fit and durable construction make these shoes the perfect choice for growing feet.
Cons
  • Can be hard to find in stores resulting in limited supply

Not satisfied with the last purchase!

I've been a fan of Stride Ride shoes since my 3.5 year old started walking. I love their shoes especially the material is soft and non sticky for new hikers. My last purchase was the worst experience I had with this kid's shoe. One of the shoe straps doesn't work at all. And my poor toddler walks with a loose belt and can't walk or walk properly because of this problem. This was her last purchase. I am very disappointed in this brand!

Pros
  • Looks very good!
Cons
  • Not very versatile in terms of styling options

Great shoes! - my new rating

These are the latest and last with a lot of use. Very comfy and they will outgrow before they look bad. Very happy with it. Velcro works forever.

Pros
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • May not provide adequate traction on slippery surfaces.

The Velcro stopped working after a month

Haven't even had them in 2 months and the velcro doesn't stick. Thanks for attention! For over $50, not wearing them much is a bit ridiculous.

Pros
  • My LO loves these shoes but they run big. Look for 5 1/2, then just get 5.
Cons
  • As others have said, the Velcro quickly loses grip and the shoe won't close.

Very supportive of my opinion

Every time my child's feet grow, I just buy the same shoes in the next size up. Easy to put on and very comfortable and supportive.

Pros
  • My nephew is now 4 years old and has wide feet. It sits well on it.
Cons
  • May irritate or blister baby's sensitive skin.

Don't buy this: my review

Do not buy this product. You will pay for it, but you will not get it. Revain and USPS were useless so I lost $55. I got lucky!

Pros
  • Good quality material. A more elegant shoe but still very comfortable with a flexible sole.
Cons
  • The Velcro stopped working after a month

Love her! - My review

This is my second time buying them as the first ones were small. My favorite children's shoes. My son has fat feet so we can buy the plus sizes! Fits as expected :) Great quality and not super heavy.

Pros
  • Excellent children's shoes
Cons
  • Dressing and undressing can be difficult for young children

Velcro won't stay attached - again!

I've been buying the same shoes for my son for 3 years, just one size bigger. I love these shoes. HOWEVER - on the last pair I bought him the velcro stopped sticking together after a few months making it difficult for my 3.5 year old to walk and play in them and the straps were always in the way. The velcro was absolutely clean - no lint, no grass, nothing to stop it from sticking. I have ordered another pair in the same size after only wearing the last pair for a few months and now the newโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice looking sneakers, good construction and fit. Keeps up with my 15 month old grandson who is always on the move.
Cons
  • Does not include any additional features or benefits such as LED lighting or sound effects.

Really wide children's shoes.

The Stride Rite has let us down in the past and I honestly expected to return these shoes but didn't lose hope. I bought the 7.5W expecting them to be too tight, in other SR shoes we've bought we couldn't even get the front half of his foot in. To my great surprise, these are REALLY wide shoes and they fit my son. without pushing your legs. The elastic laces on the front are very stretchy and do not tighten. As for length, I'm glad I ordered half a size up. These shoes are almost the sameโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Safe and Secure: The shoes have a non-slip sole that provides excellent traction and reduces the risk of slips and falls.
Cons
  • May cause smelly foot odor due to poor ventilation

It's size 4!

I took the change hoping it would be at least 5. Because there is no size in the description. Unfortunately they are 4M. So I'll be back.

Pros
  • How sweet. Still too big so we haven't used them yet.
Cons
  • Shit velcro from the start. It was a gift.

Velcro problem in my head

Both of my kids lived exclusively in Stride-Rite shoes for years! Unfortunately, this shoe did not correspond to the quality that we know from it. The 1st pair of Velcro stopped working after just a few months. Bought a second pair and the same!

Pros
  • Easy to put on and suitable for children's walks and games.
Cons
  • Can have a hard and uncomfortable sole

Really? - My review

If you spend $54 on kids' shoes, will the velcro only last a few weeks? So now I have to spend another 54โ‚ฌ? this is not good Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Ideal. Excellent quality. size as expected.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with wider feet.

Durable and withstands toddler play

These are the only tennis shoes I've found that will stand up to my bike-loving toddler. Every other tennis shoe we've tried had toe holes within a month of buying them, but we've had this pair for about 10 months now and wear them most days. I will definitely buy again in the next size!

Pros
  • Well made shoe with great support for a little guy. The wide s was perfect.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to clean and maintain
