    Overall this is a thicker/stiffer and stickier mat than the factory brand. If that's what you're looking for, it's AMAZING! I thought I was looking for it. I cut out 60 pounds of cardboard so this review is based on that. I liked the price and the reviews. I bought standard grip mats. Adhesion: When delivered, the cardboard separated due to adhesion like two-ply tissue paper. I couldn't put the paper in if it wasn't PERFECT or it would tear as you can never move it again.     Thicker than the silhouette so be careful

    Wow! So if it's a light grip, I can't help but imagine what stronger grips are like. First let me say this mat is THICKER than the original silhouette mat so you will need to adjust your cutting settings accordingly. It took me a few broken pieces to figure it out. My self-adhesive vinyl backing stuck to the mat and after setting it to 5 you can still see the cut lines on the mat. It has a stronger smell of glue and I eventually had to take a break from the smell. In terms of quality, however…

    Strong Grip & Light Grip

    Strong Grip is good, I just don't like it for washing. I was messing around with the settings and every time the flip function pinched the fabric as the material shifted on the twists. When using a mat with felt, everything was fine. While I don't suggest using it with a strong grip, the fibers it leaves behind require more work than it's worth.
