Cuts wood like butter

I bought this to fit a rifle butt I was preparing for a glass bed. The bit cuts quickly and cleanly. I will definitely be taking others in other shapes for future woodwork.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Textured Tooth Nozzle 99935

We used this tool to cut small holes in sea urchin shells for Christmas decorations. My husband carved little spikes at the top and bottom and put a little bird in the hole. Everyone loved her.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great cutter - use slow speed for plastic

I used it to cut the gate's metal latch, trim the ficus branches and shape the wooden steps. However, with plastic, I made the mistake of using too high a speed, causing the plastic to melt and stick together. It took a lighter and lots of ventilation to put it away.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • Security

Makes hardwoods like oil

I bought this to carve the exposed wood of small trees (bonsai, although it's often a matter of opinion whether it's a bonsai or just a stick in a pot). So far I've used this on maple (exposed by broken branches) to trim it down to a slight indentation to allow the collar of the branch to close and the wound to heal. This knife is easy to use and cuts material with little pressure, eliminating the possibility of an unexpected "bite" and damage to the cambium/bark tissue. So far it doesn't…
