For growers

For the hobby gardener who loves the finer things in life. Great for testing out that old HPS lightbulb and realizing it doesn't emit nearly as many photons as you think it does. Take a stick or something for the sensor, it's a lot easier than by hand.

YHS your terrible support

Sun System PAR with remote control: Not good, not accurate for every light source, old Apogee sensor used. After racking their brains getting a replacement from YHS Hydro, they simply returned the exact same item with the same S/N. Great, you'll never see a dime from me.

Great PAR Meter: Security and Surveillance

Updated August 22nd: I'm increasing this rating from 4 to 5 stars. Instead of contacting support, I took care of the exchange through the normal Revain processes. They immediately sent a replacement unit with a remote sensor (arrived today via UPS). The new box works as advertised and I definitely prefer it to the box with the sensor built in (meaning the sensor is built into the body of the control box).
