These lamps are more powerful and use much less energy than standard lamps.

These lamps have more power and use much less electricity than standard PAR38. However, it takes a second for these lights to turn on. When I first turned them on I thought something was wrong and then suddenly they turned on. The delay time is a bit confusing when you turn on the light switch. They dim to about 20% and then turn off, but I rarely dim the lights. Color rendering leaves a lot to be desired compared to wonderfully warm incandescent lamps, but they are much more efficient. I…

Hyperikons absolutely outperforms the Sunco lamps

I bought 6 Sunco PAR 38 LEDs and 6 Hyperikon PAR 38 LEDs, both 2700k dimmable, to be able to compare them side by side. In short, Hyperikons lamps are absolutely superior to Sunco lamps. I have about 30 flush mount boxes so I was trying to find a good one as my halogens are burning out. I have a Lutron Maestro dimmer that turns on almost every light in the house. Does not work with headlights from dusk to dawn. Oddly enough, had to work in pairs (see video)

Media could not be loaded. I really want to like these pears. The design is stylish, the bulb is nice and bright. However, I couldn't get it to work with Heath/Zenith Dual Safety Lights (Heath Zenith HZ-5318-BZ), especially the Dusk to Dawn Dual Brite feature. LED bulbs just don't shine at lower brightness levels from dusk to dawn. The movement causes the light bulbs to shine with full brightness. I considered keeping them as they were pretty cheap and one of my headlights doesn't need Dusk…
