I tried the HDMI out on a Canon camcorder and DSLR and all the screen did was flicker on my devices, presumably due to the display refusing mode switching and resetting. I've had a lot of these portable displays. (Sizes 7", 10" and 13"). It was quite normal, and the picture quality was a bit disappointing. The product was packaged well and fit tightly in the box with molded packing material. I connected this monitor to the DVI-D output of the Yaesu FTDX101MP transceiver using a DVI-D HDMI cable. This allows Yaesu to display the TFT waterfall and counters on the big screen. It's light, but for portability, you need a 12V 2A supply for the display and a 5V 2.5A supply for the Raspberry Pi, so it's not a laptop replacement . Despite numerous attempts, I'm not able to detect a 1080p60 signal at all. Going to 1080p30 I can sometimes get it to work, and once it works it usually continues to work for a while. But when you disable or change the inputs, it takes a lot of tries, on/off cycles, and accidental button presses to get it back in sync with the signal. Oh, and the menu doesn't work. I would return it if I could, but I didn't have time to plug it in and discover these issues along the way
