    Handy dandy - household item

    Works like a Lansky eraser and removes rust film. So it is a multipurpose item. You can use it to safely clean ceramic sharpening steels AND to remove surface rust from blades. Personally, I plan on getting a few more. It's a delicate little thing, so make sure you get some sort of hard case for it if you plan on taking it into the field.

    Surprised it works

    Surprised it works! I read about it on the internet and had my doubts! It didn't remove the pits on my knife, but it did remove the rust! I highly recommend this product and will give advice. Make sure you do this outside or over a newspaper as it can get messy, like leaving an eraser on your desk at school after making a big mistake.

    This has worked better than anything else I've tried in the past.

    This is the first time I buy a rust remover and I have some doubts. But boy, was I wrong. The thing does exactly what it promises. I'm a boat captain and decided to try this on my boat's brass bell. This has worked better than anything I've tried in the past to remove the patina from brass. The eraser lasted much longer than I expected. I'll always have one of these little guys on hand!

    Elbow lube required

    Really not too impressed. I have an old family shovel that hasn't been used for a long time, it was rusty. I used this soft sponge eraser on it. Although the rust was light and the trowel wasn't that big, it took me a lot of time and effort to remove it. I can't imagine using an eraser on anything bigger or badly rusted. It may take several hours before it is actually deleted. I may use it in the future, but it will most likely languish in my closet. Not worth it for me.

    Removes well from household items

    Works well and removes rust and other dirt with ease. I went for the knife blades when I noticed some small rust spots. But be careful, it scratches the metal that needs to be removed. But some gradual sanding can hide it, but if that's not what you're aiming for then just take it and start light or check the stain of what you're removing to see what's on the metal is left. Good quality. and a good eraser that lasts a very long time.

    Works great - see photos

    Didn't know about these products until a few months ago. I took it just in case as I have a few knives that don't rust, but so far I've never had a rust problem living in a low humidity area. A friend gave me this tracker (see photo) which is a combination of 1095 and 15H20 steel. I left it in a suitcase in a dry closet in my bedroom until recently. After 5 months in the sheath it's pretty rusty. 20 minutes with an eraser and a flitz polish and almost all the rust is gone. Yes, I oiled it…
