Great power button for the money.

Installed on my table saw. Although the casing around the knobs matched the body of the saw, the mounting holes did not. I had to make some changes to the buttons to install it. My mod for this was pretty simple. I just had to move one mounting hole by drilling another. If you purchase this please make sure all sizes are correct. This is a good buy for the money. That works great. Better than the original. I love the fact that it has a large stop flap. This is the reason I bought it. I can…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Suitable for use on a router table, perhaps overkill, but appears to be of good quality and I expect it will be the end of it now that it has been installed. Installation was a problem; assuming the studs are replaced with a standard diameter/pitch, this all requires a deep box and in my case making an extension. Finally, the location of the bolt holes didn't exactly match the holes in a "standard" box I had on hand or could find locally, but with a little tweaking it fitted. This is a reliable

Very good router desk switch

After reading a number of reviews of how difficult it is to install this switch, I have to disagree. One of the photos shows the switch on a blue plastic junction box (commonly available at most hardware stores). Assuming you have such a box, installing the switch couldn't be simpler. It is physically sufficient to simply remove the nuts and lock washers on the back of the switch and screw it into the top and bottom brackets of the junction box. Contrary to what some reviewers have said, the…

Does what it's supposed to

My experience is similar to several others, the switch is large and you need to carefully consider the amount of box you need. I use my router on a large desktop router so the power cord goes in and out, lots of heavy spaghetti. The switch does its job well, but it requires quite a bit of pressure to get going. I'm hesitant to say this is necessarily a problem, it's somewhat subjective depending on the user. Hard or easy doesn't matter as long as the results are the same. What matters is that…

Unusable, don't waste your money

The design of the switch with a recessed ON button and large stopper is what attracted me to purchase this switch. Unfortunately, those are the only positives, the downsides make the switch completely unusable. The first minus: there is no housing for installing the switch. The second downside, and this makes it completely unusable, is the lack of mounting brackets, screw holes, or any means of attaching the switch unless you want to try drilling holes in the front cover, which I would never…

  • Easy to read control panel
