🔥 Symmons TA-4 Temptrol Hot and Cold Seats: Achieve Ultimate Comfort and Control Review

This is supposed to be a real factory product. I went to a professional plumber and none of the factory keys fit them (two spots). It was decided to miss!

These two parts will go together if this part of the shower block is replaced. With the tool kit required for these parts, installed parts can be easily removed and installation is a breeze. We have acidic water and we replace it every 10 years so it lasts.

Hot and cold seat was causing the shower head to leak. I bought it with a new spindle and tool and fixed the leak in 15 minutes. Make sure you buy Symmons parts and not genuine parts and your shower will work like new!

Removing the original parts was the easiest part of the job, I used a Raven wrench (from Revain). Raven didn't have the right tips for installing these new parts! I didn't have time to buy new installation tools so I had to redo it twice which clogged up the footprints a bit.

If you take the time to watch online videos and the first seat doesn't stick, it's an easy task for 10-15 minutes. You need the tool available in HD for $24.00. Revine no longer has it. It is universal for all Symmons Temptrol valves. If you don't learn how to do this first, chances are you'll run into real problems.

This Symmons OEM TA-4 Hot/Cold Seat Kit is beautifully crafted from high quality brass. I replaced the seats in the Temp-Trol valve in our upstairs tub/shower. You will need Symmons T-35 A/B Seat Removal/Installation Tools to remove the old seats and install this new kit. Overall I'm very happy with the Temp-Trol seat kit and will be purchasing another just in case.

When I opened this I immediately noticed that it wasn't very well made and I was surprised to see that I had ordered a brand name to avoid the inferior quality of an offshore product. I only sent this back to make matters worse, the threads were cut so badly it was unusable. I sent back a replacement and now I don't know what to do.

I've seen other reviews claiming the thread was bad or miscut. I can confirm that. The cold seat threads were completely wrong and could damage the valve. Two stars because at least the hotseat had the right threads. Picture attached including packaging marked 'Symmons'. I really hope this isn't a genuine part of Symmons. Oops, be careful. Returned.
