The tool worked as intended and was easier to use than I expected. Essentially, the center screw threads onto the machine and pulls the disc away from the magnets. You have to be careful when putting the drive back in place as the magnets are quite strong and if you're not careful the drive will snap itself back into place (with a lot of force). This is best controlled by turning the center screw in the opposite direction.

I've had a Neo 1 for about 4 years and it started making a metallic noise in the flywheel. The magnets inside will pick up dirt over time so you will need to remove and wipe down the flywheel. It was a super easy process. Just a note, once you put the flywheel back on the magnets they are strong and will basically snap it back into place quickly! comes with the screws you need.
