Easy installation on my old MacBook Pro

I have an old mid 2012 MacBook Pro with 4GB of memory. It was so slow that it took up to 2-3 minutes to open Safari and load the page. Did some research and found a suggestion that boosting memory might help. Oh man, already! It works like new just by doubling the memory. Ease of installation. I've never opened my computer so I was a little nervous, but it was very easy. The price was as good as anywhere else and the free shipping closed the deal. Very glad I did.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

A small issue with the first pair but they were replaced immediately.

Installation and packaging are almost the same no matter what RAM you buy. it was packed correctly. It installs on Mac just as easily as anything else. I upgraded a late 2012 Mac Mini from 8GB and hard drive space to 16GB RAM and SSD. After the last operating system update, the machine slowed down to a minimum and became practically unusable - even for simply browsing and reading messages without picking up the phone. Now it's responsive - at least as good as it was 4 years ago and a few OS…

Works well in 2012 13 " MacBook Pro

RAM is easy to install, just follow the steps to upgrade your MacBook RAM. Works great, RAM increased from 4GB to 16GB. Overall there is an overall speed improvement No major complaints looks like a legitimate product I would recommend giving it a try if you need more Mac RAM These MacBooks were never intended for hardcore gaming On my husband's system it could I play Planet Base at about 30 fps so some stuff is at least playable I put the MacBook back in, upgraded the storage to an SSD and…

Don't waste your time and money with A-Tech memory

Extremely disappointed with this RAM. I had intermittent issues with my mid 2012 Macbook Pro for 12 months and found that the memory I bought 18 months ago had failed. The problems started small as the Mac crashed maybe once a week. Ever since I upgraded to High Sierra I assumed these were issues with the new IOS. The crashing and freezing issue became more problematic over time and I've tried everything from uninstalling apps to downgrading IOS. Nothing seemed to work. I recently discovered…

Easy to install, it breathed new life into my old Mac Book Pro

. I still use it at home. I've recently noticed that it's running slower than usual, probably due to new updates, and decided to upgrade the storage. After a little research I settled on A Tech (it comes with a lifetime warranty). Came in nice packaging. (I put my old 2 x 2 GB RAM in there). It was easy to install, but I recommend you be very careful when removing the old ones. This increased productivity at least twice. Should anything change, I'll keep you posted.

Pros
  • . High marks for support and longevity from testers.
Cons
  • Long delivery time

16GB + SSD = new killer computer/iMac. You can do that!

My iMac works amazingly well when paired with a 1TB OWC SSD. Look at the read and write speeds. The time difference is the time it takes for the web page to load and then run. The first time installation is not easy, I took my time and dusted off many parts. But it can easily be done in 90 minutes with no pressure. Since you opened the case, you can swap out the RAM. I highly recommend this combo of 16GB and SSD. If I don't care about the new iOS, there's no reason to update my computer.…

Affordable Macbook Pro Upgrade

This memory matched my mid 2012 Macbook Pro 15 perfectly and was a cheap and quick way to upgrade the original 4GB (2x2) to 16GB. (2x8). The memory was recognized and works without problems until today. At the time of writing this article, it has been up and running for about two weeks. The only recommendation for the manufacturer of this memory is not to use those huge labels on BOTH sides of the memory cards. One page will do. Labels help keep heat and dust out. Think how many cents you could

Super easy upgrade from old MacBook Pro

This has been one of my best Revain purchases. I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro with 4GB of memory. Work from home and Zoom meetings took forever and sometimes didn't work at all. This simple upgrade doubled my RAM and gave me the ability to keep using my Mac without having to upgrade to a new one. The Mid 2012 MacBook Pro only supports up to 8GB of memory and cannot expand the memory. Therefore, ignore the reviews that the computer does not start after installing new memory. If you read their…
