🔌 Enhance Towing Safety with Tekonsha 3045-P Brake Control Wiring Adapter for Dodge and Jeep Review

Due to the knee airbag which pops out when inflating and covers the normal area for rocker arm installation and does not want to be installed on the dash, I chose to install it decided in the center console (don't want to get into me or a heavy P3 or something was thrown into the one that was driving). I ended up cutting and adding about 5 inches of wire to get it where it needed to be.

My new Tekonsha brake controller came with a universal cable that I could use to connect to my Grand Cherokee's wiring harness connector, but this made installation a breeze . One end mates with the existing connector on the Jeep and the other end mates with the controller - simply plug in the two connectors and the wiring is done. Just makes a very easy professional installation. Highly recommended.

Worked great on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo E (with factory hitch added by dealer after purchase). The factory connector was located just in front of the electronic brake lever under the dash. All I had to do was pull on a small "cardboard" pad under the dash and quarter panel. Installing the brake controller has become so easy that it only took about 30 minutes in the driveway. Highly recommended.

Very easy installation, gray connector very hard to find. Our Jeep Grand Cherokee did NOT have a factory tow kit so I was desperate for an easy install. From reading forums and the like, I've heard that ALL Grand Cherokees come with trailer wiring and that the connector is really hard to find.
