Nice phoncho - clothes

Good size poncho and not as thin as others I've tried. I will come. Handy in the summer during the inevitable rain delays of a baseball game. Ps. The hood has a drawstring.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • crumpled packaging

9 oz with duffel bag and rain cover

Nice ponchos. it weighs about 9 ounces with case. big enough to cover a 50-60 liter backpack when carried and I'm about 6ft tall. has kept me dry on mountain hikes in the pouring rain.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Upgrades

The best poncho for the money.

This poncho is much better than most on the market, I've been looking for a long time. This is a very nice poncho made of ripstop material with a membrane inside. It's lightweight and doesn't stink like vinyl, PVC, or EVA.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Doubtful

So far so good: Trench & Rain

Exactly what I expected. I don't think it's as high quality as the Sea to Summit poncho, but it seems workable (and a lot cheaper). I think this would be a good choice for anyone under 5ft 10", if you are taller be prepared for the front edge to touch the knee.

Pros
  • Comfortable to wear
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Good rain poncho in Trench & Rain

This is a basic rain poncho for those who need protection from light rain. I would not recommend these ponchos for work or heavy rain. We used ours on a recent trip to Alaska and they worked great for the light rain we experienced on one of our trips. Many tourists on the trail looked at us with envy.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Available in white only

Well made rain poncho

I have used it in a hot and humid jungle in light rain and it has worked well. Like a poncho, it lets in a lot of air compared to a raincoat, which would be unbearable in a sauna. It fits in a reasonably sized backpack and will keep you dry. I don't know how it will behave in the event of a prolonged or heavy downpour. The seams, corners and side buttons are well reinforced and the material is a lightweight but not flimsy nylon ripstop fabric; It should hold up much better than a plastic…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Very expensive

Buy these if you need to stay dry for a long time in heavy rain!

We are big college football fans. We try to attend at least two games of our favorite team every year. And every year, for the past seven years, he's managed to do a DOWNPOUR during the game we get tickets to! This led to wet and cold misery! Well, this year I didn't risk it. I bought them in advance and didn't you know there was a 100% chance of heavy rain all day on game day. And boy is it raining! We sat in the stands with these ponchos over our winter coats and THEY kept us dry in what was…

I have a slightly above average head size. The opening of the poncho for the face and head is a little tight. Update: October 11, 2018 I wrote the above review after taking a poncho with me on a trip to the mountains of Guatemala. Only when it started to rain did I take out the poncho and found that the opening of the poncho was tight. It still served its purpose but was a bit impractical. I came back and wrote a short and honest review to help those with "above average" minds make an informed…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • New competition arrived

Used on a wet weather hike on the Superior Hiking Trail and has performed extremely well. It kept me and my pack dry without weighing me down. I actually got caught on a sharp stick walking fairly fast and had no permanent damage from an event that I KNOW would have ripped a plastic poncho in half and probably ruined or at least ripped through the Frogg Toggs poncho . I recommend adding angled paracord ties, about 7 inches, with a knot near the angled grommets and longer tails. In heavy rain, I
