Just awful. I'm 5 feet 10 inches tall (for reference). This backpack fits my shoulders. I've set it up a thousand different ways and I can't get the weight off. On a grueling 12-mile hike, I almost hated it. The high shoulder setting is the ultimate for me and doesn't take the weight off my shoulders anymore.

Although I'm a newbie and have only done one overnight trip with it so far I think I can easily last up to a week with this pack. It comes down to knowing how to pack. If you are just starting out, you can purchase this pack. I bought it because of the price, but the many good reviews played a role in my choice.
