Surprisingly well made. good if you are trying to figure out where to place it. I would recommend outside the cage because you want to leave room inside for the birds. If you don't have entrances, use wire cutters to cut the cage, which I did by cutting the perfect hole.

We bought this for our zebra finches and they didn't like it. It's too big and poorly designed. I had to drill another hole to fit the cage. Also, the top door wouldn't open on its own because the cage door would be in the way, so I had to cut off part of it to make it work. view picture

Today my poor Phoebe was put down because of this box. I think she was chewing on the metal - either the ring or the hardware that came with this box - and I found her unsteady and unable to sit down. I took her to the vet and after 3 days she told me there was nothing else we could do today. Now I have an $800 vet bill and my baby is gone. :( broken heart

My parrots are older so I don't expect them to throw it up to chew. They have many other things to bite and chew on. Large box for a large cage, well finished, looks great and arrived in perfect condition. It's a beautiful design and although my birds are afraid of it because it's new, they will get used to it like anything new in their space. I expect this to be a hit once curiosity replaces horror.

Like! My birds definitely enjoy chewing it. This wood feels weaker than previous boxes I've received in the past. They chewed on a stick to get into the first day. I just ordered 5 here. Too bad I didn't have any spare sticks with me like the others, but they just gnawed through. One of them broke. For example, screws are loose and when you try to fasten them, the wood is too weak to hold them.

I like the simple look. My birds loved it so much they ate the whole door lol. The only thing I found difficult was attaching it to the cage because the left screw hole is way out, but it's where it should be, in the left corner, and my hand just couldn't fit in, but that's just mine thick hand . However, my budgies are afraid to be indoors, I think that's why they chewed instead, but that's their sign of approval to me.

I understand that there are a lot of positive reviews about this birdhouse. and I will say for the price, although it did not quite live up to my expectations, I will not be returning it. My parrots are very curious about what new product has appeared in their house. The bird house has a few problems, but nothing prevents them from using it.
