Description of πŸ”₯ Carbon Based Thermalright TFX Thermal Compound Paste 14.3 W/Mk - High Performance Heatsink Paste for CPU, All Coolers - Interface Material, 2 g with Tool

[HIGH THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY]: Composed of carbon micro-particles which lead to an extremely high thermal conductivity. It guarantees that heat generated from the CPU or GPU is dissipated efficiently. [SAFE APPLICATION]: The TFX is metal-free and non-electrical conductive which eliminates any risks of causing short circuit, adding more protection to the CPU and VGA cards. [HIGH DURABILITY]: In contrast to metal and silicon thermal compound, the TFX does not compromise over time. Once applied, you do not need to apply it again as it will last at least for 8 years. [EASY TO APPLY]: With an ideal consistency, the TFX is very easy to use, even for beginners. [THERMAL COMPOUND]: Formula, the TFX guarantees exceptional heat dissipation from the components and supports the stability needed to push your system to its limit.

Chalky, crumbly mush

people, look at the picture. Almost impossible to spread over the smooth surface of the GPU. If you glue it, go back to flatten it and it will crack and you'll be left with a crumbly mess. How did this product get such a high rating among Revain's "choice" purchases? Looking at other reviews it is clear something happened and this batch is clearly defective.

Out of the tube came the texture of a mixed eraser

Not just difficult to spread, impossible to spread. The paste has the texture of a kneaded eraser. It was impossible to use it for its intended purpose. Maybe it was a bad batch. Even with enough material on the IHS and the cold plate, the thermals were terrible, which I can only attribute to the poor condition of the paste. When removing the cooling solution, the "paste" fell off the IHS and the cooling plate without leaving any residue.

Cons
  • Compatibility

Better resistance to deflation

My GPU was experiencing deflation with Arctic Silver 5 and Arctic MX-4 thermal grease. I found this product while looking for the thickest thermal paste, hoping it would hold up to pumping. It's been a few months now and the GPU is still as cool as when the paste was first applied. This paste looks like creamy peanut butter. It is difficult to spread because the paste prefers to stick to the applicator. It doesn't look like stroking, more like sculpting soft clay. Don't use too much force and…

All round bad Tim. Definitely no alternative to Kryonaut

Where to start? The packaging itself is junk: black text on purple in an old soundproof bunk where you can't even read it. The warning sign (do not eat and keep out of the reach of children) was the hardest part. Also, there are no instructions on how to use it correctly. I treated it like a cryonaut: I heated it (on a radiator) to get the paste to flow, and it flowed out easily while hot. It then cooled fairly quickly to make it difficult to disperse. The first time was easy, the second time I

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Without automation

Not for PC builders (like me), otherwise good stuff

I knew what I was getting into and saw all the negative reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. Very impressed with the results so far. My 2G tube was decently made out of this material, I think maybe it's luck, but I really went a different route than usual as I've seen a lot of people say, just to be safe and heat the stuff up before you apply it. So I did exactly that, I microwaved and heated a bag of cherry stone (for joint/neck pain) for 1 1/2 minutes, put in a tube of paste and…
