Great! This is a great setup at a very reasonable price (compared to a very similar model). Used them with our smoker while cooking grilled pork loins and chicken chunks for hours. I like this thermometer. I use the extended range today when I smoke Thanksgiving brisket, the transmitter is about 400 feet away and it works great behind several layers of stucco walls and two layers of steel paneling. He only fainted once when he hit the 12 o'clock mark, and that was to be expected. As someone said, there is a bug in this device. Yesterday I used it on a chest piece for the first time. It turned off every few hours so I had to set an alarm to wake up and turn it back on. Called ThermoPro customer service this morning (they were great) and they said it was a known issue. Gave me a full refund and told me to keep the device. I have purchased other ThermoPro thermometers and they work fantastic. However, I am very disappointed with this product. I like everything about it, but the TP829 shuts down after 2 hours of use. When I turn it back on, it turns off again after 2 hours. I contacted support and they sent a new one without question. Guess the new one shuts off after 2 hours. The "Shutdown" issue has been resolved on all new models. Too much has been done to turn this thermometer off after 2 hours. Yes mine did that too. Was it annoying? Yes but I just contacted them and they sent me a new one without this defect, no questions asked. I didn't even have to ship the old one, so now I have a good thermometer that I use for the oven. It has the ability to install four sensors that are colour-coded to easily see which cut of meat is at temperature, and the range is pretty good.
