A staple for packed lunches!

This should be a staple in any household where you need to pack your child's lunch. I can put leftovers or new food in the liner the night before and reheat it in the same liner the next morning before popping it into the insulating sleeve. Keeps you warm until noon. Simple, no extra dishes or dirty dishes in the morning. Might buy another one once it's in the dishwasher.

  • Convenient

Great but expensive

These are the ONLY food containers I can find that allow you to remove the insert for heating in the microwave. I wish there were some non-brand ones because they are quite expensive. However, they are of good quality, so it is a very good product, although it is too expensive to buy several of them (which is more practical, especially if they are needed by several people in a day).

We looked at over a dozen side dishes; They always break

We used them with our 3 kids for two years. The idea is fantastic, but the plastic used in the earbuds breaks after about 3-4 months from repeated heating/cooling. We have 6 stainless steel cases and lids and have tried over a dozen inserts. They always break after 3-4 months, and you have to order from the manufacturer for another $5 each (and you have to call them, otherwise you can't buy inserts). After two years we just gave up and bought one-piece stainless steel food bottles instead.

  • Brilliantly made

Keeps food warm when used correctly. Is working!

The best thermos for lunch. I will not buy any other brand, anyone who complains about the product is using it incorrectly. I usually fill the kettle with boiled hot water in part of the thermos and leave it covered for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then I transfer the food to a plastic container and reheat it in the microwave, sometimes reheat it in another container and then transfer it to a plastic insert. You need to make sure you use boiling hot water in a thermos and you need to make sure your…

Relying on the manufacturer is almost always a bad idea.

I support MCapiro's feedback. This item does not retain heat like a traditional thermos, but that is to be expected. My liner had cracks on the bottom that leaked after about 3 months. The warranty process is a nightmare. I returned the item to Thermos 3 months ago but no response from them. I've sent numerous follow-up emails recommending that I call support. Unfortunately nobody ever answers the phone. I was on the line twice, 30 minutes each, they never answer. And all for $20. Lesson…

My first lasted 2 years!

My son takes him to school almost every day, I pack him lunch around 6:45 (I heat pasta or whatever he wants in a separate bowl and put it in a thermos), he says until then he goes to lunch 11 o'clock is warm. To be honest I've never eaten out of this thermos to back up his words but it comes back empty and my son doesn't eat cold food (a picky eater). My only suggestion is not to put it in the microwave (the plastic part) as over time it started to crack (not break or fall apart) and even then

Ideal for breakfast or lunch

I use this thermos every day to send two children to daycare with hot food for lunch or breakfast. When shipping breakfast items, I don't even bother to heat the outer shell with hot water and it manages to keep food warm for up to an hour between cooking and eating. I confirmed to the kindergarten teachers that lunch was still warm by preheating the container with hot water and that the time difference was 3-4 hours. The only negative experience I have had with this thermos is the following…

Great design - finally something that works

I've finally found the right product. The case is easily removed with a simple twist and lift, it can be microwaved and washed. Previous vacuum containers couldn't be washed in the dishwasher [water stayed in] but that's amazing! The insulated metal sleeve stays clean, leaving only the clear plastic and cover to clean. [The metal sleeve should only be wiped with a damp cloth if handled with dirty hands. The jar holds heat and cold very well, and the jar's transparent design allows me to see…
