Excellent - replaced my four 2 gig boards with 4.

Great - replaced my four 2GB boards with 4GB boards up to a maximum of 16GB. There are no problems installing and starting. One interesting thing about my Dell Optiplex 990 is that the memory slots are not stacked. The first block has one slot with white end clips and one with black end clips. The same on the 2nd bank. It turns out that the 2 banks with white clips are banks 1 and 2 and the 2 with black clips are banks 3 and 4. So on my motherboard the banks are physically 1, 3, 2, 4. Also FYI…

This memory was in my lap for my 2012 2-core G870 GPU

Hello, my G870 is a trusty computer that has been sitting in my living room loading web pages since 2012. I gave it 4 gigabytes but Windows 10 is very slow. But instead of throwing away the compact form factor for recycling, I decided to change it to 16 gigabytes with these memory chips and it made a difference. these 1333MHz memory modules fit exactly into 2 slots and after a quick cleaning and cleaning the machine was ready to go. Dude, now I can download all the Pr0n I want without…

Works great, questionable soft pack

I bought four of these 8GB RAM modules to upgrade my old system and was afraid to try an unfamiliar brand. I'm happy to report that I haven't had any problems with Debian Linux so far. However, I had concerns about the packaging. I have a concrete porch and I found my RAM sticks in an envelope with some packing material inside. I was concerned about this because it looked like the package had fallen onto the concrete. No fault of the brand or the courier, I think more packaging of peanuts or…

Cons
  • Not the best

I just installed this for my computer. I was running many applications at the same time and it started to lag a bit when using multiple (and even one depending on the project) Adobe application. I decided to upgrade from 8gb to 16gb. I wasn't sure if the motherboard is qualified and if it can handle this memory. After doing some research I was pretty sure this would happen and I'm happy to report that it did! Depending on how much you know about computers, setting it up was easy. Just pull out…

very satisfied good for computer components

My Intel I7 system a few years ago. It came with 4 x 4GB filling the slots. Recently I've had a lot of blue screens when death stopped when I pulled out 2 banks of RAM and left me with 8bg and it was slow. Moved cards, pulled machines from other machines in the house, but all that was accepted was 2x4GB. I saw that the price was reasonable for her, so I decided it was worth the risk. Worst case still 8gb, best case 16bg. Installed them but couldn't take out a 2 x 4 card. Guess everything was…

Simple upgrade to give an old car more life

Works great for me, no problems so far. I've bought Crucials and Patriots in the past and never encountered the RAM issues I've read some users have, so I've spent my life thinking "memory is memory". Last budget upgrade to get my "old" (circa 2010) HP p6610f working. I just upgraded the CPU to a faster AMD 3.0GHz unit. card port. And now I increased the RAM as much as possible from 12 to 16 GB. Some noticeably faster response times at startup and when running multiple programs. I will now…

Upgrade my cheap gaming PC

I bought myself a cheap Cyber Power PC god knows how many years ago that only had 8GB RAM. Now I'm starting to play a little more and I'm realizing that this computer isn't very powerful. I'm not a big PC upgrader or builder, but thought I'd just add some more RAM to see if that would help make it a bit more functional. Of course, I had to resort to Google and YouTube for my research. The motherboard in my PC is Gigabyte, so the best advice I can give to others is to make sure you check what…
