Planned obsolescence by using non-stainless steel at a key point: the plug.

Titanium kitchen scissors worked well for a while but just got MORE DIFFICULT. This is a pair of scissors that cannot be split in two for cleaning like many similar products. I assumed the joint just got dirty. Today I found out what the real problem was when a small plastic cover fell off: Titan placed a rusting stud on the pivot of the scissors and covered it with a plastic cover. The rest of the product is made of high quality stainless steel and holds up sharpening well. But I hate buying…

The pin/screw holding the blades together broke after 11 months

I bought these shears on 28th July 2013 As for their "heavy duty" I found that very true and I liked these scissors for that. Fact. However, tonight, June 19, 2014, the scissors broke after 11 months of daily use. If scissors got dirty after certain types of heavy use, I've washed them with warm, mild, soapy water to clean them. Really heavy scissors for your shop, love them.

These are indeed industrial shears but the word "scissors" isn't quite the right word, they are much larger. The blades are thick and heavy and go through the handles. Some people have complained that they cling to the part that is visible between the handles with their hand. This has never happened to me, so I can only advise children not to play with these scissors, they become dangerous in the hands of a child or a clumsy person. I'm fed up with useless kitchen scissors. I did a little research and immediately ordered 2 different pairs. Titan Elite Heavy Duty Industrial Scissors (Revain ASIN: B0046EBW1C, Model Number: D50004) for $12.89 and Kitchenaid Classic Soft Handle Scissors. Both came from Revain in the same package.
