Good if you have space

Most of these NVME coolers are pretty compact so you don't have to worry about CPU fans/heatsinks and such. This is shown in the product description, so a full 2" of clearance above your drive is required to install it. However, the design clearly offers more efficient cooling compared to a traditional finned aluminum block. The slotted base should provide enough adjustment to accommodate thickness differences between different NVME drives. The 30mm fan uses a standard screw mount, making it…

Easy to install Good for heatsink

This is a heatsink for M.2 drive. The device is 2 inches high, 3 inches long and 7/8 inches wide. The power cord is 17 inches long. To mount the device, remove the base, apply thermal silicone to the top and bottom of the M.2 drive, and screw the base back into place. Then insert the card into position on the motherboard and screw it in place. Finally, connect the power…

Heat Kills - Heatsinks

I built a system using the best components I could afford to provide information from an application that would continuously write enough data to a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB NVMe drive. I couldn't understand why the setup ran like an absolute beast for hours and then suddenly felt like it was sending every bit of data in and out through a pile of dirt. When it confused me, the performance was actually worse than the previous server that was built from the spare parts this feed was meant to replace…
