We tried another tofu press but it didn't suit us. This press works better and easier. If you're willing to wait, tofu will dry out pretty well in the fridge. Makes tofu crispier and absorbs the marinade better. I recommend this tofu press.

Well when I FINALLY found out! The feather and lid flew 10 feet high and 6 feet through space in the air at a speed of 5 to 10 miles per hour! after 5 minutes pressing the tofu (thank goodness nobody was there)! This can lead to SERIOUS INJURIES! And it was a birthday present for my sister.

So put the bottom of the big metal spring on a piece of slippery plastic. I love this product because it has everything you would expect from a tofu press and they put a lot of thought into the design. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and self-contained. The spring is only adjusted to the correct tension. It comes with two plastic plates with holes so it presses evenly and flows well. Does TofuBud do what it's supposed to? Yes. Is it working well? Like, something like. I like this product but it has a few minor issues. The first and most annoying thing for me was that the sunroof would not engage. When draining water or removing the spring, the top can actually slide off, which I wasn't expecting.
